That's fine. Put them in as much disarray as possible.

Manchin would at least be tolerable though not ideal, imo.
Right now, they still have that virtual roll call vote scheduled for next week. As long as the fix is in, they will probably prefer to do it that way, in order to get it locked in and do it out of sight of the public.BkYdPitmaster said:
A month away for the nomination. That's a long time. A lot can happen and those delegates are now free to vote as they see fit.

Manchin has rarely voted against marxism.Waffledynamics said:

He may win, but in doing so he would split the Democratic party and it would never re-heal.BkYdPitmaster said:

Waste of time for the DNC has already made its decision along with selecting Harris's VP.BkYdPitmaster said:

No. What I mean is that once they've nominated Harris, even if by a Zoom call, the deed will be done and what happens in Chicago will just be window dressing. Theoretically, someone other than Harris could put their name in for the nomination on the Zoom call, but they have very little time to do so.BkYdPitmaster said:Are the votes locked in on a virtual roll call?twk said:Right now, they still have that virtual roll call vote scheduled for next week. Almost no such thing anymore as Democrat in the "moderate middle," especially in the House or Senate.chris1515 said:
Will be interesting to see how far the Dem party will stray from their ideal progressive agenda toward a moderate middle just to beat Trump.
Manchin has sold himself as the one of the most moderate dems in the senate, the fact that he won West Virginia tells you he was able to convince a lot of independents to vote for him.Rapier108 said:Almost no such thing anymore as Democrat in the "moderate middle," especially in the House or Senate.chris1515 said:
