Which makes Manchin seem more likely than not. He has nothing to lose, being out of office in January anyway, and loves the limelight of course (a la Pence with Trump in 2016). Fox just reported (Laura Ingram) he is considering it.

The left won't like it but will shut up about it and it would help in the upper Midwest, so it could make a lot of sense for them, imho.
