Probably just damage control to calm nerves. We will likely see Biden express his trust in those around him and may even hear about his openess to step aside for the good of the party, should those circumstances arise.

I wouldn't think we get anything formal until after the GOP blows their load on Biden at their convention right around the corner. The dems don't want to give their opposition time to re-strategize.

Would be a monumentally horrible miscalculation on their part. Sticking with Biden is THE WORST THING they could do. No way he's the guy. They NEED him to look bad at this point. The only silver lining when I'd accidentally change the channel and see that little stack of **** on TV was when they'd pan out while he's on a panel. I forget which show (maybe still exists) but he was one of several sitting on stools at a bar height long table. It was clear his stool was jacked up at least 1 foot taller than the others so that he didn't appear to be so much of a **** squirt.

Agree, it's to save face for Biden and party, and not to try to actually promote Biden as the nominee. That would be a huge gift to the GOP.

Right now, there is some pretty hard blame hitting is wife and fam. So this idea that Jill is some rogue, drunk on power, shot caller, will prob be put to bed.

They will have to walk a fine line by conveying "I'm happy to step aside if necessary" without telegraphing that the DNC already has a replacement picked. Shouldn't be hard to get the right take with a bought and paid for hack like George..he will stay there all day until Dems get the propaganda they need.

Underrated post.

Stephanopoulos is a strange guy. Liberal for his time and most would consider him moderate today compared to what liberal was 40 years ago. Very smart and he paired himself with James Carville in the Clinton admin. Together they effectively played capture and kill with the Paula Jones story and worked to discredit Gennicer Flowers. Of course since Clinton was already President you couldn't accuse them of conspiring to fix an election.
