It's not just the top. The rank and file workers there were hired and trained by corrupt leaders for years.

Replace the FBI and CIA top leadership with trusted people who will gut those agencies from top to bottom and get rid of all the radical leftists and Communists.
No, I don't care what CNN or MSNBC said this time

Not convinced there are ANY "honest", "fair", "unbiased", "uncorrupted" line officers anymore to promote and cleanse the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NAS and DOD. Too many yrs under G. H. Bush, Bill Clinton, G. W. Bush, Obummer and now Joe Bedumb leadership.

...and don't ignore direct influence from Gore, Kerry, Hillary, Wasserman Schulz, Schumer and N. Pelosi...to mention a FEW.

They won't let Trump take office, period. They have a plan and a dozen backup "insurance policies" to make sure he never takes office. Doesn't matter what the vote is.

After the Patriot Act, all of these alphabet agencies, with differing areas of jurisdiction before were thereafter united by working together. That has morphed into us v. them but instead of actual terrorists, the "them" is now the American people that they believe must be stopped..

Well, it was staged. Those cover sheets were not found with the documents. The FBI provided them and placed them over the documents for the photo, apparently.

The DOJ's Doctored Crime Scene Photo of Mar-a-Lago Raid (declassified.live)

Quote:

New court filings in Special Counsel Jack Smith's espionage and obstruction case against Trump and two co-defendants conclusively demonstrate that the government used the cover sheets to deceive the public as well as the court. The photo was a stunt, and one that adds more fuel to this dumpster-fire case.
Quote:

Classified cover sheets were not "recovered" in the container, contrary to Bratt's declaration to the court. In fact, after being busted recently by defense attorneys for mishandling evidence in the case, Bratt had to fess up about how the cover sheets actually ended up on the documents.

Here is Bratt's new version of the story, where he finally admits a critical detail that he failed to disclose in his August 2022 filing:

"[If] the investigative team found a document with classification markings, it removed the document, segregated it, and replaced it with a placeholder sheet. The investigative team used classified cover sheets for that purpose."

But before the official cover sheets were used as placeholder, agents apparently used them as props. FBI agents took it upon themselves to paperclip the sheets to documentssomething evident given the uniform nature of how each cover sheet is clipped to each file in the photolaid them on the floor, and snapped a picture for political posterity.

A threat to democracy!

There is nothing improper about putting the pages on top of classified or top secret documents (assuming they fit the description.).

What the FBI did here that was no egregious was circulate this picture as if it were how the documents were found. This was done wholly to poison the well against Trump in possibly potential jurors and undoubtably with potential voters.

1. Those that are upset by cover sheets are silly.

2. By "circulate", do you mean the FBI included the photo as an appendixed attachment it a court filing?

FBI states in the filing that these documents were found "in the desks in the "45 Office," ..." They state that nearly all documents were stored in boxes, but some documents (like these ones) were found in desks/cabinets. Then, they took a photo. The photo is "famous" because social media peddled it as some sort of gotcha.

Here is the accompanying text introducing this photo in the court filing (Attachment F) and how FBI/DOJ explain those and other documents found:

Quote:

Pursuant to the above-described search protocols, the government seized thirty-three items of evidence, mostly boxes (hereinafter, the "Seized Evidence"), falling within the scope of Attachment B to the search warrant because they contained documents with classification markings or what otherwise appeared to be government records. Three classified documents that were not located in boxes, but rather were located in the desks in the "45 Office," were
also seized.
Per the search warrant protocols discussed above, the seized documents included documents that were collectively stored or found together with documents with classification markings.

The investigative team has reviewed all the materials in the containers that the privilege review team did not segregate as potentially attorney-client privileged. Of the Seized Evidence, thirteen boxes or containers contained documents with classification markings, and in all, over one hundred unique documents with classification markingsthat is, more than twice the amount produced on June 3, 2022, in response to the grand jury subpoenawere seized. Certain of the documents had colored cover sheets indicating their classification status. See, e.g., Attachment F (redacted FBI photograph of certain documents and classified cover sheets recovered from a container in the "45 office"). The classification levels ranged from CONFIDENTIAL to TOP SECRET information, and certain documents included additional sensitive compartments that signify very limited distribution. In some instances, even the FBI counterintelligence personnel and DOJ attorneys conducting the review required additional clearances before they were permitted to review certain documents.

Those that are not upset are covering for potential illegal activity by the FBI.

The FBI released that photo to the media. Why? Was it to create an atmosphere of prejudice against Trump?

If you read the article, the cover sheets were placed there by the FBI and did not correspond to the underlying documents. Further, there is no evidence that the FBI agents who handled the documents were cleared to do so.

The DOJ just stated that that is not necessarily the case - in fact, some or all of those cover sheets were NOT found "in the desks in the "45 Office".

One of the many points is that 1) those weren't the correct cover sheets, and 2) the FBI was not qualified or authorized to determine what the correct cover sheet was.

It seems to be a rather common practice to take pictures of contraband that they have confiscated. I don't know that I have ever thought that the pictures were of the contraband as it was found.

For example, here's a drug seizure:

Would anyone assume that the drugs were found piled up neatly on a table with officers standing around the table?

1. You don't have anyway of knowing that. And they sure look like standard SECRET/SCI and TOP SECRET/SCI cover sheets.

2. It is entirely possible, and likely, agents were deployed with the correct clearances to make that determination. Since they knew exactly what documents they were looking for and their classification levels, the FBI HAD to have sent agents cleared to do so.

Let's just say that anyone who's worked in a classified environment, found a classified document without the correct cover sheet and thus attached one knows how silly this outrage sounds.

The documents were sent there by the GSA. In other words it was a frame job from the start. Reports out that pallets were sent to a storage location and 1 pallet of docs were sent to Mara Lago. Guarantee if one could dig into internal comes you'd find Garland having them sent so they could be "found in the raid"

Of course, this neglects the fact the Archives asked for them to be returned multiple times and Trump refused, thus necessitating the raid. Once again, an unforced error by Trump.

The Justice Department now admits that.

Those are standard sheets. Unfortunately, the documents underneath the sheets aren't necessarily the classification of the cover sheets, again admitted by Justice.

Why was Trump singled out for requests to return documents? As we've now found out, all Presidents take classified documents with them. No other President was asked to return theirs.

Did Trump have a duty to return classified documents? If you think so, what is your legal basis for your opinion?

Why is Trump being singled out for prosecution? Hell, Sandy Berger was caught stealing classified documents by stuffing them in his socks and he only received a warning to quit being a bad boy. Hillary put classified information on her private servers and in her private emails, both of which were leaked, and then lied about it. Why weren't either of them prosecuted?

This would be a case where NOT having Trump in office would work better. If Trump gets in and starts doing this, the pushback is going to be beyond epic since he is ONLY doing it to get revenge on his enemies (as the media would say).

The fact that it needs to be done for many many reasons that have NOTHING to do with Trump would be ignored.
