We see the impact of this in our daily interactions with others. Just go to any business -- retail store, doctor's office, restaurant, pharmacy, car repair place, etc., etc.

Or call a business with a question. You get nowhere.

Many people today lack basic communication skills and even a minimum of curiosity about their work or how to do it better.

They are like mindless automatons. And it seems so much worse than it did 20 years ago.

People refuse to understand that it's exactly this. IQ is directly proportional to racial statistics of any individual area. It always breaks down by the following: Asians, Whites, Hispanics, and then Blacks. This is true no matter the nation on the planet. The less white the US gets the lower the IQ. Same thing is happening in Europe.

Also, when kids are at home they are perched in front of tv or given a phone. And you don't have to be super smart to teach your kid, just a desire to make him better

What's the issue with Texas then? We've had Republicans in control of the state and the Texas Education Agency since the early 1990s. Seems to me they should be doing much better than they have done . I've decided most politicians are in it for the money they make off the books from people looking for favors. Not because they want to improve the state.

Our education system needs to teach math and science / followed by critical thinking skills and how to balance a check book and not to take on personal debt.

Everything else is a damn joke. I am not sure one thing they taught us in history growing up is now accurate. They must laugh at us - now get the little dunces in the room and tell them over and over again about the magic bullet theory so it becomes reality.

No amount of classroom education will change the racial IQ gaps. Further, US PISA scores relative to other nations and when broken down by race are very good and each race scores the highest in the world by each racial group. That is, the American Asians top all Asian groups, American Whites top all White groups, Hispanics top all Hispanic groups, and Blacks top all Black groups.

The sole reason our IQ is going down is because the racial demographics are changing. That's it, that's the only reason. There is no reason to read into this anything more. Our education system is actually doing a pretty decent job relative to the world, we just don't realize it because we live in it. There are still federal guidelines involved and you also have 4-5 very large blue areas that churn out your typical mis-educated Democrat. And all the illegals as mentioned.

Polite request. Can we stop conflating IQ and education? IQ is not learned through education, it's innate. And posters before are correct that is is related to demographic changes.

There's a stat around how by the time your kids are 18, you would have spent 90% of the time you are ever going to spend with them. Make it count.

It can be a hard financial decision, and we went back and forth. Eventually my wife did stay home for some time. Now that kids are out of the house, her biggest regret is not being with them the entire time. She did get about 7 years with them, - we managed, because we lived well below our means, and bought a house that could be paid for with one income.

I don't know man…maybe in the US the data is skewed because we tend to attract the best and brightest from Asian countries? No one is trying to move to Asian countries. Quite the opposite. Asians were among the most duped by all of the Covid hoopla. Still see quite a few living in fear and wearing masks, not only in the stores, but in their own cars.

No way Asians are the smartest. The homogeneous makeup of their country also skews the data. They do a good job of keeping third world hordes out.

PISA correlates extremely well with IQ.
