An absurd sentencing by Merchan could spur SCOTUS to get involved, I would think.

A suspended sentence with probation, no domestic travel restrictions would likely be innocuous enough. But jail, house arrest at Mar A Lago? Preventing him from campaigning? That might be too much election interference for them to swallow.
Weekends in the clink for 1 year. Let's do it.
Do that and SCOTUS more likely steps in.

That will get him more money and more votes. Your boy Biden will be blown away. Let's do it!

I think it's more likely a commie lunatic blows Trump away. Biden will just be paid to go away before their convention in August.

A country in distress.

This kind of thing does those who actually served in wars and had a REAL need to fly it a great disservice. Those folks often died.
Uh, the greater disservice to those who died for a free country is what's happening under its current leadership and climate. But yes, let's get upset over someone posting an image of an upside down flag. Definitely the more important thing to be concerned about.
Cool. So go ahead and pick up a purple heart from the military surplus and wear it around. Ridiculous. And remember too that flying the flag upside down is what the liberal hippies did in the sixties. So guess you have that in common.
Uh, what does picking up a purple heart and wearing it around have to do with the current **** show going on with our country's leadership? You're just babbling and deflecting.

But hey, keep on showing more outrage over someone posting an image on a message board than what's actually happening in our country right now. You've clearly got your priorities straight.

I would say that is even worse. Stalinist.

A Biden donor judge. A DOJ prosecutor. In Manhattan. Two lawyers "randomly" on the jury.
I agree but didn't the defense have the opportunity to take them off the jury?

Maybe if Trump is elected we will finally start to see some national reforms for felons, about getting reformed persons with felons back into society successfully? This could be a very good thing, as we may have our first felon President. Who, as I understand it as a resident of New York state, can indeed vote. He must be grateful for that reform.

You realize that's a state issue. States are responsible for parole unless it's a federal crime. Do you really not know that? It's pretty sad.

LOL. They are predicatable and stupid. She didn't win. She lost in big time fashion. Not to mention was given a free pass on her own email server shenanigans as well as trying to influence the election with a bogus Russian pee tape dossier paid for by her through Perkins Coie. She's lucky to not be in jail herself, but I guess it isn't really luck, just have to be a Dem.

Oh Wolf Blitzer....trying to pin Vance down to agreeing with Trump that the US has turned fascist...

Hrm, let's see.

Looks like Wolf parroting the line that some here have used that "this jury was approved by Trump's lawyers" as though that magically wipes away the stain of a corrupt judge and prosecutor.

Remember when I was surprised during the jury charge when Cohen was first referred to as an "accomplice" and the jury being given an instruction as to that?

Problematical in that the indictment had no charges not only for conspiracy but neither on "aiding and abetting" which would have been a separate charge. Again, blatant 6th amendment violation as a defendant has to have fair notice of the crimes with which they have been charged, BEFORE trial. Not during the jury charge.

The defense was only allowed so many strikes. In Manhattan, that voted 85% for Biden. The odds were heavily against them. By design.

So, not exactly.

That was an awesome interview. I used to have respect for Wolf Blitzer, way back in the day when he was reporting on the first Gulf War and CNN was a news network.
J.D. Vance absolutely nailed this interview. That is how you handle hostile media. I cannot imaging Blitzer actually believes a thing he says (more accurately, is asked to say by those paying his salary). No sentient being with a shred of honesty and a functioning brain who is as up-to-date on what happened in this trial would believe Donald Trump deserved 34 felony counts for his role in a misclassified campaign expense. We are, without a doubt, heading towards Fascism. And Vance nailed it when he said that is what we would be if the entire country were made up of a bunch of NYCs.

This is an absolutely hilarious. These ****ing idiots cried for YEARS about how the FBI investigation into Hillary for "muh emails" hurt her election chances and was an attack by Republicans to damage a political opponent. These ****ing hypocrites do this over and over and over again, and it ALWAYS comes back to bite them. Harry Reid changes the rules re: appointing federal judges, MCConnell tells him he'll regret it, just 3 years later McConnell refuses to take up Garland's ***** ass for a vote, and then puts in Gorsitch, Kavanaugh and Barrett (in an election year).

Can't wait for this to play out.
