Lolz. I remember back when some of said "trump will be indicted." The pushback was immense. Name calling whatever.

Then we said "he's gonna be convicted". And it was "no way"

Now we will say "he's going to prison"

Understand, I'm not happy about this. I voted for him twice. It's an affront to the republic. But you have to understand how much the deep state uniparty hates this man
There was this one time at ban camp…

The judge will do whatever Biden's team commands him to do. IF the polls show the conviction and subsequent "convicted Felon Trump" narrative from Biden don't move the needle on Biden's failing poll numbers or Trump's polling, then they'll have the judge put him in jail to see if that helps.

For everyone saying he won't spend one day in jail, are we forgetting about who the judge is? I think he will consider a jail sentence bc it's 34 felony counts.

This…..yup. The security risk of him being sent to Rikers Island is too great. My guess is the judge will sentence to home arrest.
How long, though?

It's logistically too challenging.

He might get house arrest, but, a non violent, never before convicted person in NY probably doesn't get jail time.

Having just 1 attorney on a jury is kinda rare in itself. 2 isn't anything I've seen.

That's why it was clear what the verdict would be. No way prosecution would have left them on the jury if they had any doubt about where their heads were at with respect to all out Trump hate.

Hell, the DA's office and state of NY probably even placed them there to ensure the verdict would be seen through.
Agreed, as much trouble as the democrats went to in orchestrating this sham trial you know they had to have also "addressed" the jury aspect. No way they weren't going to tamper with jury selection.

I'm pretty sure the Dems did this once before, with Harry Reid, circa 2013, in the Senate changing their rules regarding the filibuster. The change would inadvertently lead to Justice Gorsuch's confirmation when the GOP had the majority. Dems don't care about the long game.

The AGs in the red states need to start prosecuting Dems.

If Trump wins the WH, he needs to prosecute every Dem in the Biden admin including Biden himself.

Nothing would ever grant Biden that mantle. He's the figurehead of an anti-American government. We should be seeking no favors from him.

Then your understanding is wrong. These were all felonies.

The misdemeanor aspect would have been barred by the statue of limitations.

While this was the expected verdict, it's still complete horse****
They were fabricated felonies....they reached deep and created felonies where none existed. Let's agree on that.

And it is bull****, like the state of new york.

Thanks for the laugh! When down is up, day is night, anything is possible with this skid mark of a judge. What does he care? He's got his fast track to a federal seat for life. And Soros probably juiced his bank account offshore somewhere to boot….

I'm sure this post will go over like a lead balloon. This trial and the other civil case should have never happened and are a disgrace. I have no intention of voting for Trump, and think the January 6th case is the only one with material weight of national consequence that the American public deserves an answer about. I think Trump should face consequences for that, but also think Trump is the victim of lawfare and selective prosecution in NY.
Selective prosecution and lawfare are an escalation of the cold civil war and an easy way to see things turn hot and violent. Losing our republic over using the wrong GL to code NDA expenses for sticking it in crazy is a terrible moment in history.

Expecting a shark attack from this post, and have no plans to respond further.

GOP voters knew this was part of the Dems campaign strategy. This trial was scheduled well before before the primaries.

Biden is extremely vulnerable and had the GOP simply gone with a fresher (and younger) face with less baggage than the enormous Trump baggage...

But the GOP voters decided to (re)run a 77+ year old candidate with an 0-1 election record versus Biden, who has more political baggage and drama swirling around him than anyone else alive, with stuff like Jan. 6th and now 'convicted felon' leading campaign ads in swing states...the Dems for all their flaws, it is hard not to get the impression that they have developed an effective playbook since being surprised in the 2016 campaign cycle regarding how to get the best of Donald Trump.

This will presumably be a very close contested election regardless, and in 2028 the United States media and voter bases on both sides will all have to eventually move away from their Trump addiction/obsession and move on to something else, but for now it is what it is.

**** all this noise. Trump's getting my vote. Granted, there aren't any other options. But mostly this just pisses me off.

I feel like they're probably will be a lot of rage voting. I am relatively confident this whole circus will do far more good than harm.

HOWEVER... it is long past time to end this union.
What gives you hope? Even if they elect him, nothing will touch the deep state.

I'm not sure I understand your question.

My point is that this will help Trump win this election... short of massive cheating, which will of course happen... AND

That it's time for the conservative states to secede.

Give the Godless left their own country and watch them blow up. We need to get away from them at all costs. We are in a union with people that want to destroy the union.

I wanted to move on from Trump in the primary as well, but let's not be naive to think they wouldn't attached this to the GOP in general. They will also go after DeSantis and any GOP candidate moving forward.
