Trump was today years old when he learned that the side that has the burden of proof gets to go last.
I think he is justified in *****ing about any aspect of this farce he chooses to.

There's plenty of other stuff for him to complain about that are legitimate complaints. This is not one of them and just stupid.

We hardly agree on anything but this we do.

Yet somehow, Trump is painted as some type of legal mastermind?
He is however the most experienced litigant in the history of mankind.

Greta is correct. "to defraud, aid or conceal" another crime is an element contained in the statute.

And BTW as it turned out the ledger entry made based upon the Cohen created invoice having the Red Finch polling bill was actually concealing a crime, Cohen's embezzlement from Trump and the revocable trust.
AHA!!!!

Got Him!!!

Trump deliberately told the clerk to label it legal expenses to cover up the embezzlement because he was using that embezzled money to fund his RUSSIAN COLLUSION!!!!

Trump either already knew the prosecution (and plaintiffs) get rebuttal or he doesn't care what's normal.

He's not posting that on social media because he's sincerely upset or confused

He's posting it because he knows some people will buy it

Seriously, who gives a ***** He's being railroaded by stalinists to influence the election.

Justice is in no way being served here. He should be furious 24/7 because this is anti-American in every respect.

Pretending to care about the law while destroying it is despicable.

(and let's be clear: I don't just "believe" Trump. I am no big fan of Trump's. That isn't even what this is about. Treating politics as a team sport has led to millions of idiot voters. But this is literally a battle against evil.)

After all, he did say it was a fair and just trial. His TDS is on display.

Are they off or on Wednesday?

If on, then Wednesday. If off, Thursday

They're in court Wednesday. Whatever pressing commitment Merchan has each week is suddenly irrelevant when he is on the brink of delivering to Democrats America's latest political prisoner.

If the jury is deliberating, he can still handle all those pressing commitments.

Mornin' folks. Home stretch with closing arguments today. I expect Steinglass will deliver closing for the prosecution. And then Blanche for the defense.

Closing arguments will take place today in Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial.
Here's what to expect from both sides, according to people familiar with the matter.
The defense: Trump's attorney Todd Blanche is expected to focus on the credibility of Michael Cohen. Cohen, who was Trump's former attorney and fixer, was the prosecution's only witness to directly tie the former president to the alleged cover-up of payments. Blanche is also expected to focus on witnesses the jury never heard from during the trial.
  • Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg, the only other person in the Trump Tower meeting in 2017 at which Cohen said Trump approved the reimbursement plan and monthly check payments.
  • Dylan Howard, a former top editor of the National Enquirer who was involved in all three of the catch-and-kill deals.
  • Keith Schiller, a former bodyguard to Trump.
In addition, Blanche is expected to argue there was no crime and the documents were not false since Cohen was Trump's attorney and continued to work for him into 2017, the people said.
I am not so sure that focusing on the witnesses that were not called will happen. IIRC, there is a jury instruction on that already approved by Merchan.

This is a lie. The jury will have to find beyond a reasonable doubt to render a guilty verdict on the counts he's been charged with. The fact that someone is putting this nonsense out there is ridiculous. The issue about the predicate crimes is another matter.

Prosecutors entered the courtroom ahead of the start of closing arguments in former President Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial.

Prosecutor Joshua Steinglass, who will give closing arguments for the prosecution, was seen carrying a large box of files.
Files? That's pretty old school for a courtroom equipped with monitors in front of the jurors.

If the defense doesn't pounce on the first fact not in evidence to make the judge rule, I am going to lose it. There is so much in the charges that they didn't even try to prove.

Even with all the technological advances at the courthouse, you will still see most lawyers with a bunch of paper files. I think we Olds just can't get out of the habit of paper.

Donald Trump's Attorney Todd Blanche is expected to present closing arguments first, followed by Prosecutor Joshua Steinglass in a presentation of summations which is expected to last all day, according to people familiar with the matter. There are no rebuttals.
The judge previously said he expects to give the jury instructions on Wednesday, which should take about an hour.

Trump attorney Todd Blanche says he expects his closing argument to last 2.5 hours, maybe a little longer.
Prosecutor Joshua Steinglass estimates his closing argument will take between 4 and 4.5 hours.
I think that is a mistake by the prosecution to go for so long, even with breaking it up between their first closing and rebuttal. Jury tends to tune out with much more than 2 hours.

Did the prosecution waive their first opening? if so, that is odd.
