A lot of the land the university in Austin owns is outside of that triangle I bet.
Would that be the land in the PUF?
Yes. University Lands is not exclusively owned by the University of Texas. Certain revenues generated by University Lands go into the PUF, other funds go into the AUF. I know the PUF goes 1/3 to the A&M university system and 2/3 to the University of Texas system. The A&M university system has a little over half the total enrollment of the University of Texas system.

But the best folks choose to live about 30 miles south of there.

The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is bigger than all of Manhattan.

I can vouch for that. I have been in airplanes that have landed in the "back forty" at DFW. It takes as long to taxi from there to the gate as it does to drive to DFW from anywhere in the metroplex (or so it seems).

The Texas Triangle will be full in 50 years. It will be continuous collection of massive suburbs and will look like NY on steroids with Los Angelas thrown in for good measure. I'm not kidding. FYI, interesting note, BCS would be the largest city in Mississippi and Alabama today. By a LOT.

I always joke on those long taxis at DFW that they just decided to drive me to my location...

Uh no. Not even close.
BCS metro area 285K

Birmingham Metro 1.05M
Huntsville proper 215: Metro 515K

Even by Triangle standards BCS is a small fry with DFW 7.85M and Houston at 7.1M. And smaller than SA, and roughly equal to Temple/Killeen/Belton and Waco @ 305K.

BCS < Lubbock at 328K.

Recommend just a little research before posting. By a LOT

My bad, I thought Huntsville was the largest city at 216,000. You're correct, when including metro population Birmingham and Huntsville are larger.

Well technically it's the largest campus. So to nitpick, it's the largest campus with onsite students. There are other colleges with higher enrollment but they're online. So yeah we are the biggest campus population in the country.
Trump will fix it.

Are these brags or just statements of fact? The no income tax thing is a joke too. Our property taxes are outrageous and more than make up for most state's income tax.
Our property taxes suck, but our overall tax burden is one of the lowest in the country.

You are going to pay the piper one way or another either through high property taxes, high state income tax, or a combination of both.

Pick your poison.

lol. No kidding. Didn't realize we were living in 2001 when you had to log onto AOL and 40 year old moms would catch up on the latest mass forward email chains.

While I got on AIM to chat with the fellas and my middle school "girlfriend" while trying to put up the coolest away message.

No today we just have Barry Woods gotcha texts, TikTok fads, and tide pod challenges

"the largest campus with onsite students."

Please show me where there is another campus in the US with more onsite students?

Hint: you won't.

Lots of interesting facts and all but at this point i wouldn't consider no income tax to be a great thing.

Property taxes here are out of control and we can't vote on the arbitrary CAD increases.

At least I can vote on a stare rep that will increase or decrease a potential state income tax.

Yeah you are right when you qualify it like that.

Even better if you say largest on campus enrollment.

Interestingly, UCF has over 68K.

Ooh, an area defined by 3 cities (4 counting Austin) over an area of 20M square miles (more if you don't just do points on a map, but the metro areas at the triangle's ends) has a population of 21 million. That's still about 1 person per square mile.

Meanwhile, China has about 5 cities over 20 million people, another 5 over 10 million and over 100 over 1 million. Almost all of which would fit into a smaller area.

Your math is way off. Texas triangle is around 60,000 square miles, population density is around 350 per square mile.
