Donate directly to Republican candidates' campaigns if you want your donations to get to where you want.

No issue with that and most likely the only ones complaining about helping Trump fight these bonus lawsuits are Democrats and Never Trumpers who have never given and never will.

People not blinded by loyalty to Trump said this was going to happen, and were of course met with "TDS, CM, Biden Voter, etc. etc. etc."

Turns out we were right yet again.

The Trump grift continues unabated.

MAGA wants to spend every penny on Trump's legal bills, and don't care if it means a 1932 style wipe out.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

since when is it better to give donations to Republican Congressional candidates than to lawyers representing Trump?

Yeah, those of us that are real mentally ill liberals were throwing out these warnings several years before this new crop of conservatives who don't want a second Trump term.

Gee, did people flip the f*** out when Hillary did the same thing with the DNC in 2016? Who was paying the legal bills for Perkins, Coie? The DNC.

And R candidates down the ballot who will never see a dime of that money that was given for the benefit of the entire party.

Turns out "the entire party" is just one guy who appoints his in-laws to make sure he gets what's not really his.

Not surprising, Hillary and the Clintons have a long storied history for being grifters.

Give directly to your candidate but also contribute to fighting the hacks that continue to try and trip our candidate, Donald John Trump.

We're supposed to be mad that the RNC is providing funds to support their nominee against political prosecutions?

What a waste of money!!! Those funds could be better used throwing lavish donor parties and running TV ads that nobody cares about!!!

Y'all really will choose to get your panties in a wad about anything.

The money should be spent on electing as many Republicans to Congress as possible.

And it was Trump's girl Ronna that was blowing money on parties and flowers.

Dude, how can you deny all this LAWFARE from the left is anything but a POLITICAL witch hunt??? The RNC should *ABSOLUTELY* defend their candidates against this sort of egregious malfeasance.

So Trump is being politically persecuted to prevent his election and contributions to his party's political organization shouldn't be used to fight the persecution. Love the logic.

Missing the forrest for the trees.

Let the left get away with what they're doing to Trump, and the only candidates we'll get to 'elect' will be the ones the left allows us to.

Why not both?

In reality, the RNC has been ineffective for many years now, except for spamming inboxes with solicitations.

They don't really do all that much there. They have little leverage to corral in party members with political backing. The individual campaigns are where it is at.

Now that lawfare is fair game, the RNC will have to offer protection to any and all candidates, or else no one will run for office.

Why should donors have to pay Trump's legal bills? (Obvious answer is because he's Trump and his followers say so.)

The guy is worth billions. If he cannot pay his bill, then he shouldn't be running for office and focus on dealing with that instead.

Who cares about the DNC? They're **** incarnate.

Most of this board claims a conservative slant. "But the DNC..." means nothing. This is a dumbass move by the RNC and will hamper down ballot candidates, just like what was said when Trump was trying to get nepotism enacted. And....here we are.

I don't even know where to start with that response Rapier108, but surely you're smart enough to think your line of logic through... If you only want candidates who can afford to weather the Lawfare the left is waging, you have DRAMATICALLY reduced your candidate pool to only the uber wealthy. Does that really sound like a rational solution you Rapier108?

The cohort of "Never Trumpers" and TDS impaired frequent posters on all threads involving Trump will be greatly saddened should he continue to dominate the polls and will reelection.

In theory, yes. But even prior to Trump, the Republican Party didn't exactly have a good track record of doing what it took to get more Republicans elected. Lots of wasted money on Romney/Ryan-like candidates with weak messaging.

I don't disagree with that at all, but spending $0 on House and Senate races is basically conceding the election before it ever happens.
