He could have put Harmeet Dhillon there last year. But he chose Romney McDaniel.

Nepotism is not a problem Until it involves corruption and incompetence. The traits of highly capable persons are often heritable, so it is not necessarily bad for people to leverage that capacity.

Pick one.

I was generally addressing nepotism. If you want me to detail out that highly capable people also often form relationships with similarly capable peers, you tend to get generations of capability before a regression to the mean. But yes, the point still stands that Neporosm is not necessary bad unless the result is corruption and/or incompetence.

If her last name weren't Trump she'd never get within 1000 miles of that job. The RNC is quite possibly going to become little more than a vehicle for the Trump family and be a train wreck for down ballot republicans nationally.

There are two groups that are positively giddy at the prospect. I'll leave it to you to guess who they are.

every dollar Lara Trump raises for the GOP...

is a dollar she saves for her own inheritance when Trump dies.

literally.

Huh, it seems like those consequences of bad decisions are about to bite us all in the ass again. Every RNC dollar will go to Trumps legal bills instead of supporting down ballot Republicans.

Hilarious that the same people who support Trump because "he's anti-establishment" and he's a break from the same old stale political dynasties who abuse the system to keep themselves in power....apparently totally love him turning the Republican party into Trump LLC and installing his family and friends into all of the positions of power. But I guess it's differen(T).

She's co chair. Wheatley is chair
Probably trying to raise more money
We've tried like three different Republican national chairs we keep fire in them

Ronna McDaniel
Reince priebus
Michael steele

All in bed with establishment

And yet one became Trump's chief of staff and another was selected by Trump to be RNC chair. Only the best…..

This means the Republican Party is going to be The Trump Party. Any advances to the conservative cause will be secondary to advancing his/their personal interests. Congressional candidates, governors, everyone else will have to bow their knee and swear fidelity to him/them to get funds. It is a top down advancement of the political ambitions of one ma/family

this is the reversal of of how the Republican Party should handle political races. Conservatives now exist to serve Trump, not the other way around.

Would have much preferred someone like Lee Zeldin. But, he would have been focused on improving the standing of Republicans up and down the ballot and not paying Trump's debt.

3. Conservative policy wins
The Constitution Party isn't likely to even be on the ballot in many states. Just Republicans, Democrats, and Libertarians.

So for Conservative policy to win, the closest thing would be Libertarians.

I think it's kind of funny that she closed Eric and became an operator in the family in lieu of him as the second son. He's like JJL's son in the last season of Fargo.

I'd like to think they're a little more grateful than that given they were the targets before Trump got in the way. He's not making them do anything and it's fortunate he happened along.

Telling as if the governor of Florida bends the knee to get back in the good graces with President elect, Donald J. Trump. You may recall he actually ran against Trump at a time when Trump needed his endorsement.

Laura Trump was on Fox News and said she wants the job.

Laura replaced Ivanka in taking charge of the Trump campaign when she became co-chair of the RNC and she masterfully helped secure the win for Donald. Ivanka wanted nothing to do with the 2024 campaign and Laura jumped at the chance.

I would give my personal opinion about DeSantis but don't want to get ban over a someone that failed miserably on his run for the WhiteHouse in 2024.
