I was generally addressing nepotism. If you want me to detail out that highly capable people also often form relationships with similarly capable peers, you tend to get generations of capability before a regression to the mean. This means the Republican Party is going to be The Trump Party. Any advances to the conservative cause will be secondary to advancing his/their personal interests. Congressional candidates, governors, everyone else will have to bow their knee and swear fidelity to him/them to get funds. It is a top down advancement of the political ambitions of one ma/family

Would have much preferred someone like Lee Zeldin. But, he would have been focused on improving the standing of Republicans up and down the ballot and not paying Trump's debt.
