DeSantis
Can you Imagine we f*king passed on this guy as President for an egotistical geezer. History will laugh at us for centuries.

While I like DeSantis and what he's doing in Florida, you're delusional if you think he could have done something like this at a Federal and got treated any differently than Trump did. At the election after DeSantis lost, you'd be saying the same thing about him (essentially) that you're saying about Trump, maybe without the geezer part.

It just blows my mind that people on here don't understand this. Trump's not perfect; no one said he is. But how exactly are you going to spend 4-7 years defending yourself against all the crap he's had to put up with -- and then be judged against everything you've said and done in that time (not to mention the lies you had to defend against in the first place)?

Answer that question, assure us (with evidence) that DeSantis will come through clean on that, and maybe I'll consider your comment here as something of value. Otherwise, it is totally absurd.

Difference is that Trump trips over his own dick at every turn and invites the attacks.

Virtually everything he's attacked for is because of some unforced error on his part.

I will never understand DEI. Are the DEI "rules" applied at HBCU's?
No. DEI is only necessary when there are white people who need to be told how racist they are by non-white people. Diversity isn't important when it involves places or entities with more non-white people than the national average.

It would surprise me if many of these DEI staffers ever made more than $50k before their $200k DEI gigs.

I foresee hard financial adjustments for some of these folks while they shift back to the way things used to be.

That's how you "drain the swamp". Instead we're running the other guy.

Trump started draining the swamp by firing Comey. (nevermind that he hired another swamp POS to replace him). All hell broke loose and republicans signed off on a special council made up of rabid dems to investigate him.

DC is not the same as Florida and they wouldn't just sit back and let DeSantis fire the deep state there either.
DeSantis would never give them the opportunities to undermine him like Trump did every damn day. It's hard to contain the deep state when you're constantly providing them with avenues to come after you.

Ah, so DeSantis would be immune to the DC swamp because of his DeSantis super powers. Of course!

Trump is a liberal moron who lacks leadership skill, has **** tons of real skeletons in the closet as well as the made-up ones by the Dems, and hires other morons to positions you need non-morons in.

Being an actual successful, conservative warrior who oozes leadership, has no skeletons (Dems have been trying to lawfare him, too, to no avail) and leads teams of competent staff might SEEM like "superpowers" since you support a lackluster moron, but it's not. It's what we should want in our lead employee.

Rural America spoke? Rural America has no idea who DeSantis is. Do you still not know who votes in primaries or are you just repeating your propaganda?

Rural America didn't go to the primaries. Rural America doesn't primary, a good portion don't even election vote.

Oh do tell me about how the lawfare against DeSantis compares to 17 intelligence agencies including the FBI, DOJ and a special counsel made up of rabid democrats plus prosecutors in ultra liberal counties in NY and Georgia that Trump had to deal with.

Do you never Trumpers ever read what you post on here?

Why do Trumpies get so upset when their messiah is criticized? They are a lot like Swifties, just different sides of the same coin.

Feel free to post an example of a "Trumpie" getting upset. This thread is full of the TDS'ers way more upset than the Trumpies. Yes, most of us would prefer DeSantis as the nominee. Didn't happen this time. Hopefully in 4 years, it will.

Will they rehire in new positions though? That's how schools in Texas did it after Abbott and the lege abolished DEI here.

My version of DEI, is Divisiveness, Exclusion, and Idiocy. However, any department has several support staff positions, like clerks and secretaries. These are not necessarily acolytes of the woke religion.

Why does every thread concerning a conservative win have to devolve into a Trump/DeSantis, "Mine is bigger than yours" contest? Trump has never governed a state, and DeSantis has never governed a nation. Trump was never a conservative, but did good things for the country. DeSantis has been a great conservative governor in a state that recently looked purple.

Take the win. Celebrate the win. Support the most conservative candidate at every level.

I just think that all the false equivalencies on F16 are annoying. It's usually an indicator that someone is spewing BS.

It's also annoying when people don't read posts that they are responding to. If you had you would have noticed I also criticized Trump. It's that something Trumpies usually do?
