This is the way.

Even if you want to argue that there is some marginal benefit to these positions (I don't, but for the sake of argument let's say there is), in a time of increasing austerity and major threats to the higher education model, it makes no sense for the state to be spending money on these jobs.

This is fantastic, but that it had to happen in the first place is a sad statement on the condition of American Universities. The rules should be - treat everyone with respect, hire the best, most qualified people, pay them a fair wage, and get to work.

Having said that, I hope every legislature/governor in every red state does exactly the same thing. If the universities won't do it themselves then force it on them. We have to quit agreeing and cowtowing to every stupid whim of the leftists.

It might be required that when there are employment cuts at state agencies, including universities, employees affected by said cuts get first dibs at open positions elsewhere. Doesn't mean they will actually be hired again.

DeSantis would never give them the opportunities to undermine him like Trump did every damn day. It's hard to contain the deep state when you're constantly providing them with avenues to come after you.

What is totally absurd is looking past all of the success RD has had, while having lawfare attempted on him too. Big difference is that he's not a moron, like Trump, and has a vocabulary to be able to explain positions with an overall level of extreme competence AND he has leadership skills and hires competent people...all unlike Trump.

Fair enough. You did an excellent job of pointing out Trumps baggage/drama and just a few of the many distractions he brings. Your text in bold.

Sure DeSantis would have been attacked big time. BUT Tell me have you ever heard the term attack or target profile. Trump is nothing but a target and feeds into it. All of that drama is a huge distraction. The last thing we need if we are going to get this leftest cancer the F* out.

We don't need an old worn out target and distraction. We need serious leadership in a very troubled time. 80 Y/O's dont bring that. New conservative blood now. That is hardly absurd.
