To be more specific, carb control. You can still eat large portions of protein, but eliminate the carbs and you will lose weight. I've seen it just from sugar elimination alone.crowman2010 said:The biggest component with being overweight/obesity is simply put: Portion Control.halfastros81 said:
I'm glad it's working for you and there's no question in my mind it has made you healthier by shedding the pounds but if you watch the video capcity linked you'll see the exercise component is not really a huge part of the equation. Does it help… absolutely but it's not the driving factor in American overweight/obesity issues
Carb control is key, but overall, its caloric intake. Carbs just tend to be the empty calories that provide no other significant value to your body that we tend to binge eat over and over again because they taste so dang good!techno-ag said:To be more specific, carb control. Wife and I have been on this for about 7 months now. I'm down 50lbs, she's down 40. Has been great for people who simply can't or do not want to make time for the gym. We feel great now and have gone into a maintenance mode.
So if they can't or won't, then what?LMCane said:"Has been great for people who simply can't or do not want to make time for the gym."crowman2010 said:

you see nothing wrong with this statement?
from an individual's health, or a well functioning society aspect?
I never said that I don't think more people should go to the gym. But for those who CAN'T or WON'T, this is a fantastic alternative to keep weight off - which I do believe is a huge benefit to society overall.LMCane said:"Has been great for people who simply can't or do not want to make time for the gym."crowman2010 said:

This is 100% incorrect. Excess calories are absolutely stored as fat. Excess glucose is also stored as fat.samurai_science said:
Its insulin, calories don't matter. Insulin is a storage hormone, it has to do something with the sugars, so they go back to the liver and get turned into fat for storage and use later. But because fatties don't use the energy it just keep storing fat, leading to fatty liver and fat around the midsection (and organs).
Amount of calories dont matter, its carbs and insulin. Sugar from Fruit, sodas, bread, or anything else. Insulin resistance is the problem!

I love how Texags brings out all the experts on every subject. And it always turns out that the experts are experts in every subject even without any work experience or schooling, just tribal knowledge or their sincerely held beliefs. The "conservatives" also show their own desire for authoritarianism as long they agree with the authoritarians. Say, isn't it time for another porn should be outlawed thread?
I am curious though - the poster that said you should try steroids - what doctor is prescribing those? Do I have to make up some symptoms to get it and have the insurance company cover it?

Well, then. That's the solution. Instead of anyone taking ozempic, we'll just tell them they just need to make time and want to exercise. They'll immediately realize you're right and will change every bad habit in their life to adopt your suggestion.Stonegateag85 said:
I don't understand the mentality mentioned here, how can you not make time or want to exercise and be healthy?

That's the problem. We've gotten to point in society, through a confluence of factors, to where it became ok to take your health for granted and then rely on big pharma to get us out of the hole we've dug. Relying on big pharma!!! What could possibly go wrong? It's sad and pathetic.
Having kids kicked my already healthy life into high gear. I want to be around to be active in my grandkids life the way mine are now. Can't and won't just don't compute in my tiny little brain.

If you're sub 20, TRT might be a better option. Every dude over 40 is going on TRT now and has abs.

When can we sue Monsanto for poisoning us?
Oh we can't because Soros bought Monsanto stock and they have government protection
So please drug me - drug me harder daddy
As a side note, I find it amusing when the the Venn diagram of hard core liberals and hard core conservatives when it comes to Monsanto/GMO is essentially one circle.

You tell me -
The topic is a miracle weight loss drug that could boost GDP in America. America used to be a skinny normal country and now it isn't. Need me to go on?
The same people poisoning the population want to now sell it a diet drug. It's sad really, sad.

I'm probably too young for a doctor to be willing to put me on TRT, although I do know it would basically do the same thing.
Once you start you can't stop, right? So it's like Ozempic.Nanomachines son said:Tergdor said:Stonegateag85 said:

The need for TRT is based entirely on your testosterone levels. If you are low (aka under 400) then you medically qualify.
Once you have kids there is little reason not to do it.

With HCG you can stop.
It's far better than ozempic because it won't destroy your digestive system. By the time you medically qualify for it, your endocrine system is already ****ed anyway so does it really matter if it messes it up at that point?
