Rs know they poll well on immigration/border issues. it's an election year. Trump owns the party and says he doesn't want the bill. Some R congresspeople are saying the quiet part out loud and saying they dont want to do anything that could help Biden's polling.

Rs own the border issue at this point. Even with the Biden administration's failures in the first couple of years of his presidency.

I'm old enough to remember when the House Republicans passed HR2 and sent the bill to the Senate which never acted on the bill.

Biden's administration has intentionally opened the border and in combination with NGO's are coparticipants in massive human smuggling operations.
