Come on, man. You know that lawsuit is horse ***** It's about as legitimate as the Kavanaugh accusation. He was acquitted of any criminal wrongdoing because it was an unverified story that happened back in 1996 to some lady that all of a sudden wants to file charges after almost 30 years…at a time when she's trying to sell a book. This is a joke. Even the civil proceedings are ridiculous. A jury found that Trump is guilty of defamation because he denied the rape charges (of which he was acquitted) which meant that the supposed victim was a liar. Everyone should be outraged at the abuses in our justice system. Instead, people are happy to turn a blind eye as long as Trump is the one being punished. The people who celebrate this and like to throw stones at Trump because of his poor moral character should duck.

You're completely broken. Have fun with Biden.
I'd say my fellow conservatives not able to move on from him is a bigger factor for Biden probably being re-elected than people that are not fans by his behavior. I'm going to vote for him because I have to, but people need to seriously look at why many conservatives are done with him. It's a problem. If he's losing people that previously voted for him and alienated more that might, what's his path to victory? Apathy by those that voted Biden last time? Flipping a ton of suburban moms and blue collar workers in the Midwest, southwest, and Georgia?
What, at all, makes that look probable or even feasible with his continued actions?
I make decisions based on the options presented. It's not that complicated. I can't vote for your super candidate because he quit. When the primary gets to Texas, it will be Trump and maybe Haley if she doesn't drop out. Who should I vote for? Both are polling above Biden, so I should be able to take my pick. If that's the case, I'll vote for the one that is best for me and my family. Haley seems like a neo-con RINO akin to the Bushes. I don't really care for that. Trump, while crass and not remotely close to a good person, did some good things that benefitted me while in office. Did he accomplish everything he set out to do? No, but tell me one president that has, especially when the swamp is working against them. If you think that Haley is going to be the candidate to secure the border, reduce taxes, cut regulations, achieve energy independence, protect the second amendment and keep world peace, you're seriously deluding yourself.
When the primary comes around, who are you going to vote for, assuming Haley is still in play?
More importantly, when the general election rolls around, and Trump is the Republican nominee, who will you vote for? Please tell me you're abstaining or voting third-party and then go on to lecture me about the irrationality of supporting Trump.

You saw in my post I'm voting for him in general. And each of us damn well knows that had he not had the cultish following and polling he did before he even said he was running, another viable candidate would have put their hat in the ring. Desantis and Haley and Vivek were the only ones stupid enough to do so. There was no winning even if Reagan came back to life.
The problem many of us have is the lowest common denominator that vastly forms that cult not giving anyone else a true shot. A true smart GOP would have run him off knowing between the courtroom drama and complete whiff in 2020 with certain demos this would be doomed to fail. Let a new, young, true conservative voice be the face. Not a power hungry blowhard with no shot.

Yep! I'm not for or against Trump, I'm voting against Marxism. You're still not understanding. I (me, myself) personally only vote based on policy. A candidate could have cheated on his wife, kicked a disabled person, clubbed a baby seal and saluted Hitler all on film in the past and as long as that person has the best policies for the betterment of me and my family, they will get my vote.
However, there are many people that actually do factor in their emotions when voting and they're on both sides of the aisle. Many on the left are focused on mean words and tweets, while on the right they're focused on fairness (MAGA feeling that Trump got screwed over) or morality (Never Trumpers insisting that they can only vote for Mother Theresa). Just like in advertising, this is why it's important for a candidate to have charisma and be a good communicator so that they can reach potential candidates and appeal to their emotions. In my opinion, Desantis either lacked the necessary traits to connect with people or didn't think it was important enough to do so. Intentional or not, he chose to stand on policy alone.
Now we're to the primaries where Desantis is no longer an option. Just to clarify, no matter how much you like a candidate or how much they align with your policies, if they're not on the ballot you can't vote for them. So that leaves Trump and Haley who are both currently polling ahead of Biden leaving me to choose the one who benefits me more (Trump in this case). If polls were showing that only Haley has a chance of defeating Biden, then I would make the rational decision to support her. Not because I think she has better policies than Trump but because I know she has better policies than Biden.
When the general election rolls around, Trump will most likely be the candidate. Again, I will make the ration decision to vote for him because he's the only choice and his policies are better than Biden's. Now, a conservative might think that they have other choices like abstaining or voting third-party but they would be irrational and a de facto vote for Biden. You can do all kinds of mental gymnastics to convince yourself otherwise but it just isn't so.
Since you don't vote for liberals, it's good to know that you will be pulling the lever for Trump in November.

That doesn't make him a Marxist, dude. Your takes are beyond old and they're way too simplistic. The President doesn't have the purse strings, Congress does. You're also conveniently leaving out Covid and inflation. Newsflash: every President going forward is going to "outspend" the one before them. The debt, interest rates, the growing population all contribute to that. You live in a fantasy world. I'd live for it to be true too, but it isn't. Once you accept that, you can end your little tantrum and help the rest of us choose the best option AVAILABLE.
