When he started running against his own record and started insulting other very good candidates and their followers and telling them he doesn't want them.

Also, when he and his followers will sacrifice objective reality in the face of a possible challenge to Trump.

Trump used to be the bulwark against that. He spoke many a truth that was not allowed to be told. Now, he and his supporters have shown themselves blatantly willing to lie and fabricate recent history that everyone remembers in order to win.

I and many others find it very insulting when we are told to put up with lies, insults, and mockery. You might as well ask me to vote for the Democrats.

The covid year. He caved to peer pressure and let big gov win in a terrible way.

I'm still voting for him in the primary and general.

I've never liked Trump.
Back in 2016, when I voted for Cruz in the Texas Primary, I called Trump a "loud mouthed Yankee Real Estate Salesman".
But Biden is worse, so if that is the choice, I will vote for Trump.
However, my sister, though she is also conservative, has been talked into believing that Trump deliberately organized an attempt at insurrection...so she is a "Never-Trumper"- as are many, many more for that reason.

When a clearly, and I mean CLEARLY, better alternative showed up. And was summarily kicked to the curb bc MAGA wanted a WWE clown show instead of substance and a track record of conservative results.

Going a little further back, the extensive laundry list of staffers and advisers who were fired bc of disagreements was kinda my first red flag. Like my God, can anybody work with this man? The way he did Kayleigh really opened my eyes. This woman went to bat for him daily when most of the country was turning on him. And he absolutely threw her under the bus for basically nothing.

First debate with Biden. An 80 IQ grease monkey could have out debated the vegetable known as Biden.

Instead we're apparently running the even older loser than his previous loss.

When he handed the senate to the dems, allowing biden (obama) to run amuck. You know, all the stuff everyone here complains about biden doing. Trump facilitated this stuff.

He's not my first choice by any stretch, but he's undeniably the nominee, and we undeniably need him to beat Biden...

As a child, I couldn't understand draft dodgers. Today though, with our knees bowed to China and the US willing to let them take Taiwan without a fight, our military unprepared and more focused on LGBT matters, our country run by socialists elected by idiots enthralled with utopianisms, I now think that there wasn't any point to stopping the USSR, so why bother being drafted and possibly dying in Vietnam when the US is on the same path?

He bears a good portion of responsibility for our current inflation if we are being honest.

Biden spends money like ******ed monkey, but Trump was nowhere close to a fiscal conservative.

I'll add that I blame him for losing the 2020 election. Biden didnt win, trump lost. His behaving like a pre-pubescent girl on twitter turned off so many people he gave biden the election. Democrats cheat, its what defines them. So you have to beat them bad enough to overcome the cheat. If he would've forced a policy discussion in 2020 he would be president today imo, but he didn't.

Never really "lost" me because he never really "had" me. Trump has always been about Trump. He's changed political parties like some change clothes, which is why I was very skeptical in 2016. I'll admit he was better as President than I expected but my bar was low with him.

He would be better than whomever is actually running the country right now, which are the same people who will actually run things regardless whomever the D would have in office next term. But that doesn't meant he's ever "had" me.

Similar for me. It is so cringey to hear him use Desanctimonious. And now recently he says he's finally going to retire it. I don't have enough eyes to roll. Handling Covid was the other main piece. He let Fauci run rough shod for far too long.

The frustrating part is that he could have been an incredible president. Between his patriotism, business tactics and overall demeanor, Trump is everything you want. But at the end of the day as we all know, he can't help himself and is his own worst enemy. I wish he'd spend the time he spends on trolling people into figuring out how to unite people.
