I work in higher education. It's all over the place. Emails, zoom, you name it. Our vendors too.
I was in a meeting a couple of years back where the host asked each of us to say our names, our title and what we did, and our pronouns. I just simply ignored the last part and hoped he would call me out. Wisely he did not.

Corporate training Ive seen advises employees to add pronouns in sig and wear rainbow lanyards to show you are an LGBT ally.

I've worked for the military (as a civ servant) since graduating.
I still play poker with a bunch of retirees once a month in a game that's been going 25+ years. I'm the only working stiff left out of the original bunch. My poker buddies (mostly retired officers) can't believe the "how it is now" stories I tell them.
There are some high level (e.g. SES, the civilian equiv of a general) that I get organizational e-mails from that have their pronouns. Not too many "working level" employees have pronouns in sig blocks, but a few do, and a few (brave? bandwagon?) officers.
When I hired on with the military, it was illegal for active duty to be queer. Then it was tacitly accepted under "don't ask don't tell." Now it's encouraged.
I just hope I'm able to retire before it becomes mandatory.

Yep. How often are you a party to a conversation and yet referred to in the third person? It happens but is relatively uncommon. It can be avoided every time by using the person's name.

I think most are just useful idiots with good intentions, albeit misguided. But occasionally I'll look the person up and they look like true believers...walking red flags that say "run far away, do not procreate with me".

I don't mind it if it's an indeterminate name. There was a city employee I coordinated project approvals with only via email that had a name that could be either male or female. I still have no idea which they were.
