Checkout a plant based diet. We've had great results with it the last 5 years or so. Politics and the government should not have ANY INFLUENCE in your diet choice. If you want to exclusively eat red meat, go for it.

I guess modern medicine and the decline of smoking are allowing millions of people to live into their 80's, even while carrying around an extra 100 pounds.

I've lost about 15 pounds less than the doctor said I would with Ozempic. Granted, it's taken a few months longer, but so far, so good, and the weight is still coming off.

I figure as long as people do what works for them, that's all that matters. It's the ones who don't do anything, knowing they should, that are the problem. IMO.

I took it as him joking, but if Salute the Vaccine is serious about Ozempic then you know it is not good for you. I have read that once you start taking Ozempic you can't stop or it will really mess up your body chemistry.

I have friends on Ozempic and they actually look sickly and unhealthy. Believe it or not, the "get thin quick" bit is actually not great for you.

Anything is better than a high carb/processed food diet, imho. I'm not a doctor nor am I really one to tell people what they should/have to do.

Ozempic is a microcosm for so much that is wrong with our society on many levels.

There is the angle that doctors will just prescribe it without asking questions. Medical institutions have become slaves to prescription drugs and not actually getting to the root of a patient's issues. Just mask the symptoms of the problem.

Then there is the fact that people are lazy and want fast solutions to things. There is a simple solution to being healthy, it just takes discipline and work and time.

Like you said, the Ozempic bubble will pop and pop hard. I just wish doctors who prescribed it could be held accountable also, although I'm sure they are protected somehow.

Ozempic/Wegovy will soon be available for kids and will be a very valuable tool in fighting obesity.

Any doctor who gives a kid ozempic is a contemptible person.

Would be grounds for license removal and jail time in a sane society.

Yeah, i suppose you're right and I should have said something else. Perhaps I meant the human design. The original human condition did not allow for fats.

We have been socially engineered to be sedentary and then our food has also been given all sorts of additives that make people unhealthy. The condition was changed.

The same people that want everyone to be fat are now offering the get thin quick drug. For some reason, i don't trust their motives.

People using it who don't have a detriment in function- well who knows how that will effect theiretabolic and hormonal regulation long term.

For example guys who are on TRT that don't actually have low testosterone see a decrease in output after prolonged use.

If your BMI is 30+ or you've got high BP or Type 2 diabetes you can go down to 27.
