I don't know. It kind of makes sense to me. I can't imagine someone going to IHOP for Thanksgiving dinner, but I could imagine them going some time during that week. Lots of kids out of school. Nobody wants to dirty their kitchen again. Seems much ado about nothing.
Just call it Thanksgiving. This is something many/most Americans have celebrated for generations; give us some common ground to eat on since we seem to disagree everywhere else.
