OP, why are liberals so AWFUL with the environment? Why do they trash everything up, and even support destroying pristine environments like below. So they can "feel" green? Genuine question.

Yall aren't "green for sh**...no matter what you tell yourself.

As long as it's not in your backyard, right hypocrite? Liberals are garbage and should be treated as such.

Just enjoying the responses. Only a handful actually addressed my question. The rest of y'all are attacking strawmen. It's fine though.
you started a gotcha thread and it backfired on you. This isn't anything new, a liberal like you start one of these a month and it goes the same way every time.

Run back and get some new talking points

Can't help but notice you're STILL ignoring my question

What political policy do you consider to be an example of "good stewardship" of the environment are right wing people refusing to support?

You made this claim, now give us a concrete example

Well said.

My original post is to question why environmentalism isn't considered a cause for the Right. Shouldn't it be?
The historical roots of the modern environmentalist movement, as in the people who participated in the first Earth Day in 1970, were the same hippies that protested against the Vietnam war.

Moreover, the proposed solutions to environmental protection issues often involve heavy government regulation, which the Right generally doesn't like.

Because we know this one is not meant to last once Adam and Eve fell. The ground was cursed at that point and the Christian walk is about choosing eternity over time.

Revelation 21:1
Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

I'm curious about something.

Since so many on the Right profess to be Bible-believing Christians, why are they so dismissive of calls to protect the environment when Adam's first command was to "tend and keep" per Genesis 2? Bible dictionaries define "tend" as meaning "to take attentive and nurturing care as one would a valuable possession."

However, when topics like taking better care of the Earth come up, I see posts saying "I'm going to get up tomorrow and pour some paint down the drain" and "I'm opening all my windows and doors and blasting my AC to celebrate Earth Day this year." Some in jest. Some quite serious.

Shouldn't Believers be the ones most adamant about better stewardship of natural resources?
I'm still waiting for the "stewards" in China and India to get their **** together.

Put your money where your mouth is

What should the United States government do to ensure better stewardship of the environment?

You said you wanted discussion, then let's have it. Tell us what should be done.

E. Completely ignore that hunters and outdoorsmen (by a huge margin mostly white conservative men) are by far the biggest stewards of the environment through conservation efforts.

This thread is a peek into the mind of a liberal and the stupidity and willful ignorance is scary.

POLITICIANS AND THE GOVERNMENT STEALING YOUR MONEY THROUGH TAXES IN THE GUISE OF ENVIRONMENTALISM IS NOT SAVING THE PLANET IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER.

What have you personally done to actually help anyone or anything?

The question is to the degree "the right" and "Christian" intersect, why is there seemingly so little regard for an original commandment?

One possibility is the intersection isn't really that broad. Another is that they are choosing positions out of of opposition instead of affirmation. Or it could be that they are missing the mark in their beliefs.

Interested in thoughtful responses. There is usually a race to interject the best jabs before someone discusses genuinely.

Because climate change doesn't exist. And man- made climate change really doesn't exist.

The Earth is not going to end in 10 or 20 or 30 years. Fossil fuels are perfectly fine. The oceans are not going to overtake us, but ice caps are not going away you're not gonna freeze or burn to death. It's called whether

There's no reason to push EV cars and it's all a lie and a scam. It's been a scam for decades. None of what they claimed would happen has, and it won't..

Liberals and the godless are the worst hypocrites out there.

Is there anything wrong with recycling or not littering as much, sure, but it's not going to change anything regarding "the world is going to end if we don't do this".

There's a wealth of scholarly research that would indicate the Left's push toward a green economy worldwide would necessarily lead to, or have to be preempted by a high level of depopulation of the earth.

You have to ask yourself, why do we spend billions so that sub-saharan african communities can have minimal levels of solar power when we could spend equivalent billions for pipelines and natural gas generated electricity that would be far more productive, widespread and beneficial?

Is a green economy more important to those cultures than being able to feed themselves and improve their economic condition?

The push from the Left to impose a biblical based conservation mandate on the Right is interesting since the Left treats, in many cases, the earth as a deity rather than something to be managed in such a way as to fully serve God's ultimate creation, man.
The answer is that improved economic conditions in Africa would lead to increased rates of procreation in the continent and a significant rise in the population. As the left wants to depopulate the planet, this is a non-starter with them.
