This coming from the campaign that literally spends time taking an image of DeSantis from the debate, magnifies it, and then starts calling him names and making up crap.

To be clear, Trump must be given every benefit of the doubt and treated with kid gloves. For DeSantis outright lies and misrepresentation is completely acceptable.

Yes, but I'm talking about an edited version of the video, making its rounds claiming Trump said what he didn't say.

What do you think Trump didn't say? He did criticize Netanyahu for backing out of the Soleimani op and said that Hezbollah is "very smart" several times. That was not him mocking Biden.
Are these statements wrong?

Those statements are subjective opinions being made at the wrong time, IMHO.
So it hurt your feelings? I see now.
It's not about feelings it is about leadership. Israel is an ally and Bibi has been very pro US. They are in the midst of their biggest crisis since 1973 and the biggest incident of Jewish slaughter of innocents since the Holocaust. Bringing up that Bibi didn't help you enough on something from years ago was terrible statesmanship along with being disgusting. BTW, Trump brought it up because he is mad at Bibi for saying that he lost the election and like all things it is personal spite.

It's incompetence, that's the point.

They are smart because they know when to attack. He even said they are vicious, so he's not condoning the attacks. But they took advantage of Isrrael's lack of being prepared.
Quote:

(Netanyahu) has been hurt very badly because of what's happened here. He was not prepared. He was not prepared, and Israel was not prepared," Trump told Fox News' Brian Kilmeade in an interview clip that aired Wednesday night.

"When I see sometimes the intelligence, you talk about the intelligence, or you talk about some of the things that went wrong over the last week, they've got to straighten it out because they're fighting potentially a very big force," Trump said Wednesday.

They're vicious, and they're smart. And, boy, are they vicious, because nobody's ever seen the kind of sight that we've seen."

Seems to me just another example of Trump being Trump. He can't help making EVERYTHING about him.

He never hides it. If you say something good about him, you earn his praise. If you say something bad about him, he insults you. There are NUMEROUS examples of many people saying both good and bad things about him and Trump is predictable in his reaction. He is child like in that way.

No surprise you're cozying up to one of our res libs. Anything to defend Trump I guess, and it makes sense, since Trump/Trumprs always attack from the left.

If Trump had said something like "Hezbollah is well trained, well armed, and far more professional than Hamas, because of all the backing and support they have from Iran, which Joe Biden and the Democrats have supported by releasing billions of $$$ to Iran" it would have been a good statement. Wouldn't have been a compliment and not able to be interpreted as one.

Instead he rambled on like a fool with one of his "big, beautiful, best ever" statements which comes across as totally out of touch, and makes it sound like he is complimenting Hezbollah.

You don't care but you are certainly going to tell me about how you don't care. Got it.

I voted for Trump in '20. If he is the nominee I'll vote for him again. I was a Cruz guy in '16 and honestly think he is finishing his 2nd Term had he been the choice back then but no way to know. I'm also going to be honest about Trump for good and bad. I've given him LOTS of credit on many threads when he does things I like. I'll also criticize him when he says and does stupid things, especially during the Primary. Many people don't realize just how hypocritical and stupid he often is and I hope they wake up and vote for DeSantis but maybe not. If not I guess we get to jump off the cliff and pray but I think it's going to end up being a Goldwater style defeat.

I do love the logic though. Though not a single vote has been cast in the Primary and none will be for months your expectations is that no criticism of Trump should be used even with his own words. If they are then it's "TDS!"

If you want that kind of discussion then you should go to Free Republic or just read Truth Social or something all day and you won't have to listen to people make logical arguments against Trump with his own words. You can just be angry that we won't put all our efforts into saying nice things about him and attacking anyone that doesn't get in line. The best part is when we lose the General you can have your choice to blame it on people like me who tried to tell you he would lose or you can just talk about cheating and rigged elections. Only downside is you get another 4 years of Democrat rule and all that comes with it.

just like when the TDS-infected flip their lids when Trump admits Chairman Xi is smart, or Putin is smart, it doesn't mean they are good guys. I sure do wish Biden was smart though. That's something he's never been accused of.
Yes, its unpossible to be smart and a bad person. Only the holiest of holies are smart.
pray tell- what is "smart" about Hizbullah?

massacring 247 Americans with a car bomb in 1983?

I don't expect the TDS to get this, and an edited video by their savior DeSantis lying to them doesn't help.

Do you think now is a good time to compliment Hezbollah?
Ummm, is there ever a time to compliment Hezbollah?
This is one way to spin it.

And people want to question the IQ of Trump supporters?

I'm not going to be angry or disgusted because Trump brought up Israel not being involved in the solemeni operation, or because Trump didn't like what a defense guy told the news, or because Trump said some killers were smart with their planning and execution. What are we supposed to be distracted from that whatever trump said yesterday is supposed to be major news all day today? I have a feeling Trump could have said the exact opposite and the tds-infected would still be losing their **** because he said something.
Trump could have simply kept his comments supportive of Israel and maybe criticized Biden, that was the appropriate response. Instead he started rambling and made the story about criticizing Bibi and calling terrorists "smart". That's not TDS, that's what happened. Do I think Trump hates Israel or Bibi? No. Do I think he likes terrorists? No. Still his statements are just stupid and frustrating and at this point we have a better alternative.

The great irony is Trump supporters are the most sensitive and emotional folks around and they just scream "TDS!" every time they think Trump is being criticized. Oh, but they can say anything they want about other candidates of course and Trump can lie all day and be personal and unprofessional and it's just awesome.
Its your opinion of what's right. I personally don't care if our "allies" are offended or not. We need to wipe Iran/Hezbollah/Hamas/Al Qaeda off the face of the planet at all costs and they should support that. When they waver, they deserve to be criticized, timing be damned.

No we don't need to wipe them out. Creating power voids is what left us with the current Iranian regime, Al Qaeda and Hamas/Hezbollah. This lesson was learned quickly with ISIS. You target ISIS and destroy them but you need to be EXTREMELY precise. Collateral damage on "innocents" will just lead to more radicalization.

If Israel raised the GDP of Palestine to a point where the average person was living on say $25k a year equivalent life style then all this extremism would look way less appealing. But when you have people living on dollars a day that creates a fertile breeding ground for radicalization.

None of this is in defense or justification of the attack on Israel. This is looking at how Hamas and Hamas esque power groups stay and grow in power and are able to execute these atrocious crimes. Payback is needed and it needs to make those responsible pay. But it will be in the recovery of Palestine that decides the fate of future conflicts not in its destruction.
