Why did they dig him out of the rubble? He was hiding underground like the vermin he was and working with hezbollah on killing more Jewish & other Israeli civilians. Can't imagine a more fitting burial for a so-called "jihadist".

I don't think it's UNCLEAR why Hezbollah is not doing defensive actions.

a) They have no comms now...at least none they trust
b) They give zero ****s about the Lebanese. They're just there because it's on the border to Israel
c) They are degraded seriously

C-5 transport?

We first used them to transport aid to Israel in the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Wow.

Wow... Does anybody recall a situation where a ME or Persian Gulf nation was essentially bargaining with an adversary and saying "OK we'll let you hit us but not too hard and we'll call it even" like iran is doing here? Or this happening anywhere else in history?

Most are C-5M's that were made in 80's as C-5B's. The M's were upgraded and refitted in 2010ish-2018 I think. Most C-5A's have been retired.

Why doesn't Israel publicly demand Iran release the remaining hostages (dead or alive) in order to determine the level of retaliation?

Get those folks home and then blast away anyway. This would also clearly show that Iran directly controls Hamas.
I don't think you know me.

Hezbollah claimed it had destroyed four military bases in Israel today as it launched a blistering rocket attack across the southern border.

The Iranian-proxy group said it had hit bases in Al-Jarrah, Za'rit and bases in the Golan Heights after claiming to have pushed back advancing forces late Friday.

Its fighters were 'targeting the explosives factory there with a salvo of... missiles', the group said in a statement this morning.
I don't know if their claim is valid or just propaganda.

Every time Hez launches rockets it's all over X and videos are everywhere with iron dome interceptions. There's nothing about this at all on X.

Edit: There was a small salvo yesterday which appeared to be intercepted. No reports at all of anything substantial.

Hamas planned a much wider attack on Israel:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/10/12/exclusive-hamas-documents-sinwar-planning-iran/

" Years before the Oct. 7, 2023, attack, Hamas's leaders plotted a far deadlier wave of terrorist assaults against Israel potentially including a Sept. 11-style toppling of a Tel Aviv skyscraper while they pressed Iran to assist in helping achieve their vision of annihilating the Jewish state, according to documents seized by Israeli forces in Gaza.
Electronic records and papers that Israeli officials say were recovered from Hamas command centers show advanced planning for attacks using trains, boats and even horse-drawn chariots though several plans were ill-formed and highly impractical, terrorism experts said. The plans anticipate drawing in allied militant groups for a combined assault against Israel from the north, south and east."

" The plans include a mix of low-tech operations, some of which were used on Oct. 7, and others that appear to be more aspirational.
Among the latter was a plan to destroy a Tel Aviv skyscraper. The document identifies as possible targets the Moshe Aviv Tower, a 70-story building that is Israel's second tallest, as well as the Azrieli Center complex which comprises three skyscrapers, a large shopping mall, train station and cinema. The plan notes the nearby presence of the IDF headquarters building and suggests that the collapse of a nearby high-rise could crush the military facility as well."

" A more practical target, Hamas believed, was Israel's rail system. The document describes several variations of a plan to use railways to transport fighters and powerful explosives including fuel tankers that could be detonated with small bombs in Israel's largest city. "The railway line is designated for transporting fuel, which is a weak point in the event of a train explosion after moving inside one of the cities (a moving bomb)," it states.
Other plans called for modifying vehicles so they could travel on rails, and turning fishing vessels into high-speed attack boats to carry fighters and explosives into Israeli ports."
///

It is imperative that Hamas is eradicated from the earth.

Hezbollah is claiming responsibility for a drone attack (Predator style drone, not suicide) that hit an IDF chow hall, likely over 100 injured and a few deaths.

IDF said this is a game changer, not sure exactly what they mean yet. Game changer as in Russia is now supplying Hezbollah with large drones or game changer as in the response?

Other reports I've seen are saying it was a suicide drone. Either way the base was not on alert at the time.

Apparently Biden and Netanyahu spoke again earlier today, with the Israelis agreeing to no longer strike Beirut. Not sure if it has anything to do with this:

Cannot overstate how unusual and significant it is that US troops are being allowed on Israeli soil to operate on the ground. This is something Israel simply does not do.

EDIT: Did not realize we had a few troops stationed there to operate some radar stations.

Israel asking for a THAAD and US troops to operate them is still significant. They are concerned about a bigger barrage targeting infrastructure.

Some outlets have reported Iran has sent back channel messages that if the Israeli strike is more limited in nature than they would consider the exchange done and would not retaliate. They are very concerned about Israel's ability to strike within Iran.

Iran's biggest tool to use against Israel is Hamas and Hezbollah. Both if which have been leveled. Iram has thr Houthies. But they have to fly missiles and drones over the Kingdom who has previously swatted some down.

Iran's options are much more limited than they were a year ago. Taking time to degrade or eliminate the closest proximity threat will pay off big time.

Aren't the Palestinians quick to publish photos of injured and dead children? Maybe their definition of child has expanded to include those in their 20s.

What makes me puke are liberals who amplify Palestinian propaganda about killing children. That ensures that Palestinians putting their children in danger WORKS.

You guys are causing Palestinian children to die. Congratulations.

That is not really correct

there were US Patriot batteries during the 1991 Gulf War (which did more damage to Israeli cities than the SCUDs)

and there have been US troops with aerial array training over the years for this exact scenario
