Makes no sense. 83 1000 lb bombs on a single target? While technically possible makes no sense. Something lost in translation

The bunker was below a midrise apartment building in all likelihood

Perhaps Mark 83 1,000lb bombs. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_83_bomb

J Post says around 100 munitions…

"About a hundred munitions were used, with bombers dropping them every two seconds in perfect precision."

Reports out of Iran that the guy responsible for coordinating Iran's efforts to support the Houthis went down in a helicopter crash in southwestern Iran.

Unconfirmed at this point, but would fit the pattern. Doesn't look like Israel is planning to listen to any more nonsense about cease fire deals until they finish their work.

They should have done this a long time ago. Trying to appease has brought nothing but continued attacks on their people.

It was 83 bombs. The bunker was deep and they had to do multiple hits on same point to get deep. Israel also said they wanted to make sure there was no escaping via connected tunnels.

I think it's more that they've known these people's whereabouts for years but never managed to get them all in the same place. If you're going to strike in the middle of Beirut (or with a planted charge in Tehran) you better be damn well sure you're hitting all of the leadership at the same time.

Can't imagine what was going through their heads (besides the warhead) as the bunker busters got closer and closer.

Some would argue "OMG the poor people in that apartment complex".

No, that's on Hez. They were using those people as human shields. Every person in that complex would know there was a large Hez bunker under it and they were happy to do their part in trying to protect it.

Hell, the IDF even sent out messages telling civilians to get away from anyplace housing Hez.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Israel hit something that burns black smoke, in Yemen. Presumably, a military target/missile stash? Maybe just a ship arriving via Iran?

Great article. One key point that I think it raises.

Israel has long considered Hezbollah the greater threat. They've concentrated their intelligence operations there, and they have been reaping the rewards from it the last few weeks.

However, while doing this they seem to have turned a blind eye to Hamas. Missing the signs of the Oct. 7th attacks was just as big an intelligence loss as the exploding beepers were an intelligence win.

Clarification from yesterday's strike against the supposed new Hezbollah leader. He wasn't yet named leader. That aspect of the strike was just internet rumor. They have not yet officially named a replacement for Nasrallah.

Israel should call for a cease fire, see who shows up to the table and then target them.

They probably don't need to - they appear to be in Hezbollahs OODA loop.

How they got there is the true story of this. There is much more to this story, much much more.

More than anything, I think that Iran, hamas, and hezbollah, once again, vastly underestimated Israel's resolve. They keep doing this **** and upping the ante, and all Israel does is strike back harder.

They went in and razed swaths of gaza clean, and now they've absolutely smashed hezbollah. Iran might want to seriously consider shutting the **** up for the foreseeable future and walking away while they can.

At some point they, and all arabs, have to realize they're not going anywhere and this is just the new norm.

Just so everyone knows (lot of traffic here today), and while it's been stated before, Hezbollah/
Nasrallah was/is a big drug trafficker into/through Europe and the America's, really their main non-Iranian revenue source. Lovely people.

I'd be unsurprised if some of the ways the IDF/Mossad tracked down their communications/locations revolved around the funding/communication for this trade/business.

Well, that's a shame:

Just like they misread the situation in 1974 and amost got wiped out by Egypt and Syria when both invaded. It happens with humans, they make mistakes.

Not shocking. They're not made for use in contested airspace, and the Houthis are being supplied SAMs by the Iranians.
