Reminder that all this is taking place adjacent the most densely populated and volatile places on earth without US personnel touching land. Air dropping aid is too risky and expensive so naturally the plan is to do do something 100x more risky, expensive and volatile. But we'll all be shocked when this fails in spectacular fashion.

This is another stupid, idiotic and dangerous endeavor when there is no reason for it.

It is not Israel blocking folks from getting food supplies.

There's an air of showmanship about all this. They'll be weekly coverage of the pier being built and the first ship to come alongside. Humanitarian aid to Gaza. An outward and visible manifestation of 'we are from the government and we are here to help.' Close up shots of the American flag on bags of rice. The whole 9-yards. This is the equivalent of taking your wife out on a date after you just gifted your side piece a Louis Vuitton.

But there's a little pizzaz about all this. Like running a nation wide drill on the morning of 9-11 pizzaz that you can't get anywhere else.

So we'll see what happens.

Because the Palestinians swarm the trucks and Hamas attacks them to try to steal the food, forcing the drivers to choose between running over people or getting shot or captured by Hamas. The drivers are no longer willing to cross the border and Egypt doesn't want to open the gates for fear of getting overwhelmed by civilians trying to enter Egypt.

It does nothing, the same result will happen. Its the same thing the Palestinian's did in Kuwait, Jordan, and Lebanon. Nothing changes.

Israel / Hamas been fighting each for the entire time most of us have been alive. They will continue to killing each other long after we're gone.

Israel and Hamas are the equivalent of two raccoons fighting each other at night. Only difference is one raccoon was crafty enough to get inextricably linked to a farmer with shotgun.

Israel is creating a half mile wide DMZ around Gaza and has already destroyed 40% of the building in this zone. Biden has now issued Bibi a red line to stop this and that he can't attack Rafah.

Also, Biden agreed with Schumer's speech. Pretty clear Biden has switched allegiance in this deal.

    A land mass of 141 SQUARE MILES.

    Manhattan is 22 square miles. and has FOUR MILLION PEOPLE on daily average.

    Not sure where he's from but he's conveniently forgetting the whole Salafist/Wahhabist jihadi movements many in the Arab world have supported and espoused. Hint, it's the precursor to most of today's militant Sunni terrorism around the world. And where did that start?

    He can talk all he wants about how bad the modern Palestinians are but the Arabs are no better for a multitude of reasons.

    And before some mouth breather tries to insinuate I'm against his main points that modern Palestinians are a blight: Hamas and any similar militant Islamist groups should be destroyed without hesitation.

    The 'and volatile' is key here.

    While there are more densely populated places on earth, none are more volatile than Gaza at this moment. So construction of an offshore pier and running cargo ops in that environment is a high risk endeavor.

    Lol, he's just not hungry enough. I've been hiking several times at altitude carrying a pack for a week plus, and believe me, you quickly lose your civilized preferences and adapt quickly to whatever you can get your hands on.
