Honestly, I'm a little disappointed the Israeli's have gone so slowly/gently at Hamas to allow them to retain this capability so long.

the best explanation is that during the bombings and the firefights, as they were being moved around the Hamas guys ditched out and lost track of the 3 hostages. One WAS A MUSLIM.

for the idiots who claim this is a "Jew" war.

One of the K9 dogs of the Oketz unit, maybe "Aisha" actually found the hostages a few days before and recorded them, but they didn't find the video until too late. Aisha is so awesome.

Israel is in a tough spot. Even after Hamas is eliminated, the Palestinians have proven themselves completely incapable of self government. I am unsure if that is simply due to radicalization or if they are frankly too stupid to ever know better.
As someone put it, they need to do to Gaza what was done after WW2 in Germany where they stay and De-Hamas-ify their society starting with the kids who have grown up brainwashed into Hamas-Jugen
Germany had a western style government with lots of smart people to appoint to high positions. Palestinians have none of that.
Germany also had a lot of low and mid-level Nazi party members who were brought back into the post-war government and bureaucracy after "deNazification" proceedings because they were the people with the experience to run the country and there wasn't anyone else qualified. The Palestinians, from what I have seen, have nobody even if Israel would turn a blind eye to Hamas membership/tacit/actual support of terrorism. The Gaza Strip is devoid of capable leadership, unless capable leadership included murdering Jews.

There is a difference that needs to be made, a lot of German government officials, esp at the local level were probably not members of the Nazi party. Just like here when power switches between parties there's not a complete house cleaning and change all the staff.

Hamas doesn't have anything. It's not even a failed state, it never was a state.

Exactly. 100% great point.

notice how many times the Hamas supporters will use Orwellian doublespeak:

"Gaza is a prison! Apartheid"
"Gaza was beautiful before the IDF destroyed it!

"The Israelis love life, we love death. that is why we will win!"
"The Israelis are killing all of us!!"

"Indigenous peoples over the oppressors!"
("but Jews had a Jewish kingdom called Israel 3000 years ago")

"Queers for Palestine" (even though Hamas throws ghays off of buildings in Gaza)

"Ceasefire Now!" (even though there was a ceasefire on October 6)

"Too many are dying- Israel must stop!" (even though Hamas could stop the war if they surrendered and released the hostages)

well yesterday Wednesday 20 December was the first time in 74 days that there were ZERO launches of missiles from Gaza into Israel

so clearly the IDF is tearing Hamas apart piece by piece.

For Germans, even those Nazis that were left after the war, looked to Nazism as a way to improve their lives. If a revived German government could also improve their prosperity, they were all about being a part of that. However, the radical Islamic does not want to improve their lives, but to die for their religious beliefs is better than to live for them. That's a key radical difference that will make rebuilding a peaceful Gaza much more difficult than Germany.
This. Western military doctrine is based on the assumption that the enemy doesn't want to die. It doesn't work against a culture that actively glorifies martyrdom.

it should likely be over in another 3 weeks to 24 days

the IDF has been gaining ground in both north and south Gaza big time in the last 36 hours

We figured out ways to destroy Japanese Kamikazes and German SS who fought to the death.

it can be done.

Yes, many of Hamas will not stop until killed. but thousands of them do surrender as well.

I hope this guy's maps are accurate- although behind in time from a few days ago. if so, the IDF is likely going to have 3 separate cauldrons of Hamas fighters completely encircled

problem with that is there will always be the next Hamas guys up who are 15/16/17 years old now.

much better is to have alive those IDF soldiers who would be killed in a battle to the death.

and for diplomatic reasons to "end" the war.

as long as we kill every leader and everyone who was in the Nukhba terror squads of October 7- that's the most important thing.

Washington Post in bold headlines about how the Post is unable to verify tunnel below hospital was used for military purposes.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/12/21/al-shifa-hospital-gaza-hamas-israel/

I wasn't aware that news organization approval was required to verify military targets and it surely must occur to these journalists that a tunnel not used for medical or utility purposes is out of place in a hospital and the presence of wooden pallets is indicative somebody was using it.

Then there is this admission from a Gaza doctor that the hospital was being used by Hamas.

I will go a bit further: I think for every violent rapist, we need as part of their penalty to surgically excise the testicles.

Disagree. Any rape of a civilian in furtherance of a war should get the death penalty. No exceptions.

Nice little tunnel demolition. Sorry (no not really) for your neighborhood, gazans, but next time don't let terrorists build an armory under your homes/condo's etc.

Quote:

A fiery explosion rocked Gaza City on Thursday as the Israel Defense Forces destroyed a massive network of Hamas tunnels built to link the homes of some of the terror group's senior leaders.

"After Hamas's 'Senior Quarter' was revealed last night in Gaza City, a complex that includes a network of branched tunnels connecting hiding apartments, bureaus, offices and living apartments of senior members of the military and political wing of Hamas, the route of the tunnels was destroyed today," the IDF wrote Thursday.

Video credited to the IDF and shared on X formerly Twitter by Israeli outlet N12 shows a massive line of flames snaking along several city blocks at the moment of detonation.

I sure hope some real hard evidence comes out of this showing how the un & usa funded all this tunnel network along with any other terror resources acquired.

It doesn't matter.
The US and the UN aren't spending their money. It's your and my tax money, and politicians don't give a *****
The only hope would have been for the Palestinians to realize how much "aid" money Hamas has spent on militarization and reject Hamas. But Palestinians are incapable of learning or coexisting with anyone including other muslims.

This is the end that befits them.

Right now it isn't just in Gaza. If the IDF is being properly supported by her Allie's there's no reason not to launch a surprise bombing attack on the West Bank prior to the roaches starting to flee. If they don't there's bound to be anti Israeli voices remaining there for this to all happen again. It's time to rip off the bandaid.

You don't need to bomb the West Bank, it is a very different place than the Gaza Strip.

While Gaza is like a Manhattan Island, Judea and Samaria are more like parts of Arizona and New Mexico. It is not nearly as dense or built up, much of it is still desert and uninhabited mountain tops.

Every day the IDF is working in Jenin, Tulkarem, Nablus tracking down and arresting Hamas terrorists in these towns. It is easier to destroy Hamas in the Judea/Samaria region even though the Palestinians have greater access to Jordan with a long porous border.

This is Judea

This was Gaza City

This is the craziest story I have heard since 0ctober 7. Sad, happy, hopeful. Literally the Israelis care more about animals than Hamas cares about THEIR OWN WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

step back and imagine if the USA would dig tunnels UNDER our women and children and then launch barbaric massacres against Canada- knowing that then Canada would kill thousands of our citizens in a war.
