What was Al Qaeda's strategy on September 10, 2001?10andBOUNCE said:
Just thinking through what the whole Hamas strategy has been. All I can tell is that they successfully pissed off Israel and captured 200+ hostages. Was the end game to hope for a prisoner exchange for these hostages? Hope for Hezbollah to intervene on the north? You'd think they maybe would have gathered support prior to escalating things. Obviously shooting a lot of rockets into Israel from Gaza hasn't ever done much, at least strategically. Most are intercepted or do not hit anything. At this point at least, just confused if they really had any plan beyond the Oct 7 attack.

You don't. I saw a lot of things in 20yrs in law enforcement that I still occasionally see to this day. None of which are even remotely as horrific as these sights would have been. I can't even imagine the mental issues these people will have for the rest of their lives.BadMoonRisin said:

Re: the hostages, the chickens are coming home to roost for the horrible decision by the Israelis to exchange 1000+ Palestinian prisoners, including a large number who were proven terrorists, for one Israeli soldier a decade ago.
That set a horrible precedent which surely factored into the current hostage taking strategy by Hamas. I will never understand that decision by Israel.

So it's genocide when Israel has the stones to back it up, but not genocide that the Pale's (who create their awful ******ed rockets out of humanitarian aid) have been wanting to exterminates the Jews for..... basically forever?

Israelis want to live in peace and not be attacked.
Palestinians want to wipe Jews (all of them, on planet earth) and Israel off the map.
Where do you think the compromise is going to come from?
The first world nation that has been thriving?
Or the slow idiots that dont realize that they have already had a "land conflict" and lost 3x in a row?

This is the kind of hate and evil that metastisizes and spreads, as we have already seen. It's in the interest of everyone in the civilized world to put a stop to this unthinkable brutality and barbarism. Some people are so evil, there is only one way to put an end to it. End them and their ability to ever spread their malevolence and malice again, inlcluding their pipeline of new recruits. Harsh but true.Robert L. Peters said:ABATTBQ11 said:BadMoonRisin said:

Ive been in fire and ems for 27 years, I have lots of images that haunt me, and calls I rethink, wishing for different outcomes, I dont know many people in my industry that arent tortured by their job. Of the many calls I ran, I recall a young suicide victim that killed himself in front of his parents. I remember thinking, he's not in any pain but they will be for the rest of their lives, in constant torture.BadMoonRisin said:

I cannot fathom the things these responders and the IDF are seeing. There should be no "Geneva" or "articles" here. This is guerilla warfare and anything goes. As one other poster stated, bombs and sniper kills don't appropriately punish these evil sons of *****es, but at this point a dead terrorist is acceptable by any means.
