Such a dumb thread. Cars catch fire….it happens. EVs and ICE. If you don't want an EV then don't get one, but don't fear monger stupid stuff.

They will hand wave away the increased propensity of ICE cars to catch fire and kill their owners. That's acceptable as long as the O&G industry is safe.

And they can also never tell you what percent of EV's catch fire. Not even a guess. It's quite literally just emotion driven fear mongering.

We should send Teslag over there to assure her that an ICE car would have done the same thing.

This family would still be alive if they had an EV.

We can play this game all day.

A story by the Daily Mail noted that Juvenal Mora and his two children, Cruz, age 3 at the time of his death, and Mayra, 8 years old, had been waiting for the car to warm up in their garage with the door closed when carbon monoxide poisoning knocked all three of them unconscious.
Stupidity is not remotely comparable to a car spontaneously catching fire.

Before EV's, I never thought at all about a parked and not running vehicle randomly catching fire. Most vehicle fires occur when the vehicle is running. EV's will catch fire randomly and are very difficult to extinguish. As a fraudster and EV champion, you should know this.

Hyundai and Kia have recalled 571,000 SUVs and minivans for a repair and warn owners to "park their vehicles outside and away from structures until the remedy is completed." Why? Because if you park in your garage, you risk burning down your house. Apparently water can seep into a circuit board on a towing hitch, cause an electrical short, and spark a fire. Even if the car is off.

You mean like forced masking/vaccines, getting Biden elected etc? Because that seems to be the standard for discussion post 2019/2020.

People will find any reason at all (even bad ones) to justify their dislike of a thing...in the same way others will change their name to the thing they like, and go on about it on an online forum.

Some people don't like ev's, and dont care what the arguments in favor of them are. Deal with it.

There are plenty of valid arguments to not own or want an EV. There's very little reason to cling to the bad ones, that simply aren't relevant nor factual.

What a ridiculous comment

They are regulating ICE engines out of existence.

You want an electric go for it.

You want to decide for everyone else and we have a problem.

By that I could say is you only defend this because you want to profit off the "global warming" scam

See how ridiculous that is?

The world needs mean tweets

  • My SUV a Lincoln was recalled the next year. I was told there were only 3 fires involved with the Lincoln SUVs recalled
  • Interestingly enough the problem was an electric battery sensor that MAY have been damaged during repairs that was designed without a circuit fuse.
  • I was told this was the same problem from the previous year.

  • from the article
  • Fortunately, there have been reports of just one fire and "five heat damage incidents."

So they saw a potential problem and did a recall?

and that it has reports of 21 fires (note: that's a lot more than the Bolt!) and one injury, but no reports of fires extending to buildings.

The company said it is aware of 19 reports of under-the-hood fires that could be related to the battery monitor sensor problem. Last August, owners of 90,000 Kia and Hyundai models were similarly warned to park away from structures because of possible fires caused by the automatic engine start-stop system.

Hyundai also recalled 82,000 electric vehicles in in 2021 because a defect in the lithium-ion batteries could cause them to spontaneously start burning even when the vehicles were parked.

I know someone who's tractor caught fire while refueling. Even though he never admitted it, I'm convinced that it was because he was smoking while refueling the butane tractor.
