So I read this as either Trump is not intelligent enough to see through the lies..OR...he didn't surround himself with people who could. If he acted based on lies...did he suddenly become smarter and won't be fooled again by trusting his experts? It also begs the question...Does Trump like the truth or for people to tell him what he wants to hear?
Sure he could just wipe out anyone perceived to have lied or was against him. Worked for Mussolini.
This is the problem with people putting Trump on a pedestal and thought he was highly intelligent. He never lived up to that hype. Ergo why DeSantis is a significantly better option this next go around.

Uh maybe you should look at recent TRENDS. Cali actually became great in the 50's, 60's, and 70's while it was a solid Red state. Since it went hard blue its begun its decline. Same with NY and Ill.

Huh? Are they gaining far more people than they are losing? Why is the governor trying to tax defectors if that is the case? Seems like places like Az, Tx, and Fl are gaining the most people who have had enough of the chaos and lunacy of the big blue coastal cities.

Also, there are no well governed major cities in the nation imo. They may not all be as psychotic and backwards as places like NYC, San Fansicko and Los Angeles (downtown LA is a dystopian nightmare, you should check it out), but just about every single major city is solidly blue, and thus decaying and getting more violent.

At insane rates, people with money and brains are packing up and leaving the three cities you mentioned, two of which are insanely beautiful with some of the world's best climates, in favor of hot muggy swapy places like Houston and FL, and scorching desert like much of Az.
