This is an important film and I pray it gets the viewers and attention it deserves. It deals with the darkest of topics and is extremely difficult to watch, but the brightest spotlight needs to be shown on human trafficking and pedophilia.



According to Wikipedia the film was completed in 2018 and was set to be distributed through 20th century Fox; however, when 20thCentury was bought out by Walt Disney, the movie was put on the shelf. Finally, 5 years later crowdsource funding was used to acquire the rights and distribute it through Angel studios.

I find it chilling one of the main antagonists in the child trafficking was named Giselle.

I just checked in and found a 4 page thread on another board. It highlights the obstacles that this film faced getting distributed. There are talks in that thread (by one person) referencing the lead actors political views (beware, Q warning!).

The film is being painted as conspiratorial based on the actors political views. However, the actual work of art does not deal with politics in any form or fashion, unless God's children are not for sale is somehow a divisive political statement. Hollywood sure seems to be making it political by referencing Jim Caviezels political views. Why so many attack articles and roadblocks if we all agree that human trafficking and pedophilia are bad?

Also, Hollywood is not a monolith I am told. There is a variety of people and opinions in that town apparently

This movie was very well done. Not easy to watch bc of the hard truths presented. I admire the bravery of those who risked their lives to save the enslaved and captured children

Entertainment board regulars have convinced themselves that Jim Caviezel is a crazy conspiracy theorist. They believe his new movie is about how the CIA leads child trafficking rings to harvest their organs. Therefore they refuse to see the movie.

Multiple posters have seen the movie and told them the movie isn't about crazy conspiracy theories.

Regardless, they insist that Caviezel is crazy.

Posters have pointed out that Tom Cruise is also crazy and ask if they're going to boycott his new movie too.

In my personal opinion, many in Hollywood have a financial interest in seeing this movie fail and it's being portrayed as a crazy conspiracy theory movie as a result.

It's no secret that this summer many big "tentpole" films have lost money or struggled to break even: Indy 5, Flash, Elemental, Transformers 5, Little Mermaid. Many big Hollywood studios are in crisis mode.

Sound of Freedom is produced by a small startup Angel Studios (who also produced The Chosen).

If Sound of Freedom is a success, it will pour more fuel on the fire.

They're hypocrites. There have been numerous films aimed at preaching social issues with inaccuracies or actors with fringe personal world views…but if they're left of center they're accepted as "Well it's art and their truth…who are we to cast judgement?"

Yet as soon as a film like Passion of the Christ or this one are in the discussion…they're shunned as fringe falsehoods and of course anyone associated with it is a wack job.

Notice how the criticisms are very vague, "That person believes in conspiracies and hate". Well, to the Hollywood left…anyone that supported Trump or criticizes the trans movement is a hateful fringe lunatic.

The outrage seems so contrived and fake.

I don't know the exact personal views of the actors in this film or the man whose story this is based on…but it's really hard to take the outrage seriously when such outrage has been silent with other projects and fringe crazies in Hollywood.

Cavizeal and Ballard are on Jordan P. Pretty much debunk all the negative press against them. Peterson was pretty hard on them.

The makers of this film are patriots snd working hard to fight back against evil that has become so common place in our culture. They are also working to create a new hollywood right here in TX to get away from the filth so movies can be made without being tied to evil.

My local theater has 4 showings per day in a medium size auditorium that are practically sold out. I sent the following email to the manager

At the end of the credits there is a 3 minute video talking about the limited marketing budget and asking viewers to help promote the film and even pay it forward by buying tickets for those who may not be able to purchase themselves. It was my opinion that buying tickets was one avenue to assist, it appears that in my community the limiting factor of eyeballs is availability of showings/seats.

This movie was excellent. They did a fantastic job of relaying x-rated horrific crime in a PG-13 movie. The story and production was top tier.

The more likely scenario is Cavizeal is very Christian in an industry that hates Christianity. I have heard him give interviews and he doesn't seem like a conspiracy theorist to me.

Right? They went after Jim Caviezel like crazy too in that thread. I don't know much about the guy...saw him in the Passion, Count of Monte Cristo, and that's about all I can remember. Seems to keep his personal life out of the limelight

That board has a handful of posters that turn into the cast of Mean Girls regarding any conservative or religious topic and think they are the gatekeepers of any and all discussion.

Just an example…bring up God and they attack like a bunch of hyenas. Question anything regarding aliens and you get cast out as a heretic.
