Not really. Studies have shown there is a substantial biological component that affects predispositions towards sets of political beliefs, largely on lines of temperament and other basic behavioral characteristics. There's about an 85% consistency with children sharing the political views of parents and only some of that is accounted for by conditioning during upbringing, or you couldn't at all explain the other 15%.
Explain why we've only gone farther left since the 60s then.

We have substituted Christianity for a leftist religion. The people are just as dogmatic and devout, just to a different set of beliefs.

Been to Europe lately?

They are too far gone for a "quiet revolution". These things are are a drop of chlorine in a swimming pool that has a pipe of raw sewage flowing into it.

While I've lost respect for Jonah Goldberg, he did write an insightful book about 20 years ago. I believe it was called The End of the World As We Know It.

He claimed that the biggest threat to the western world was demographic shifts. Falling birth rates being the primary culprit. He argued that countries would be forced (or would naively choose) to import their labor to overcome a shortage of native born workers. Seventeen of the top twenty countries in the world, per birth rate, were Muslim dominant countries. Masses of folks from those countries had been pouring into Europe and would continue to do so, creating a new majority eventually. He predicted devastating results.

And here we are.

He must have gotten his earth shattering opinion from Pat Buchanan's Death of the West book published in the 90's.
Proud to say I've voted for Buchanan twice and never once voted for a Bush.

Back then, Buchanan was saying falling birth rates in western countries would doom them. By 2050, Italy will be gone. There will be no Italians. Russia is in same boat. Unfettered immigration to replace native workers to support their social welfare sate would also doom them. The third world birth rates DWARF thise of more affluent countries. It creates another Mexico every 15 months.

Election denier will be kicked out of the residence in short order, and likely flee back to France where she is from.

I found an article from Jonah with that title:
https://www.nationalreview.com/2005/04/its-end-world-we-know-it-jonah-goldberg/

It was a popular topic back then apparently...Mark Steyn wrote a book by the same name.

Quote:

America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It is a 2006 non-fiction book by the Canadian newspaper columnist and writer Mark Steyn. It forecasts the downfall of Western civilization due to internal weaknesses and Muslim population growth in Western countries and the world generally.

Good for Prime Minister Ebba Busch! Maybe now some of the effeminate "men" in other European countries will extract their heads from their nether regions and speak up against the lunatic "green" policies. Ridicule those fools and hold them accountable when people start freezing to death.
