I see so many more people flying the American flag (or many of them) at their homes and businesses and throughout their towns in blue as hell New England than I ever did in Texas. Patriotism means different things to different people. But generally "I hate my country and would never lift a finger to defend it" is not a sign that you're in the more patriotic group.

When those who are charged to be an embodiment of that symbol and to protect her symbolism chose instead to drag their collective asses over it (playing 2nd fiddle to the debauchery flag) - that's a big deal.

Especially for those of us who served in uniform for ideals married to that symbol.
