Dude drove to Home Depot to take a picture of some American Flags on sale because the 4th of July is coming up. You know, celebrating our Declaration of Independence.

Nah I was picking up a replacement washer for a garden hose and literally had to walk right past the display

But Section 8(i) of the flag code it pretty clear.

The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should
not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or
otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary
use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the
flag is flown.

It's not endorsing any other product but the American flag. Try again.

Read the code again it's not to be used for any advertising purposes in any manner. The company logo also seems to violate that rule as well.

But all of this is just stupid rhetoric because the flag code is unenforceable and generally disregarded by pretty much everyone.

What a stupid comparison. It's a display for flags on sale at Home Depot, not the freaking WH.

Still a flag code violation. Are you not mad about that too?
No, and they don't feel any better about the WH display after it's revealed that it actually does comply with the flag code. Because it was never about the flag code, obviously.

It's about intent. We know the intent of the Marxist woke degenerates in the WH and those that goaltend for them.

Honestly though, America is dead. That flag represents something that is long gone. I'd never lift a finger to defend what it has become. I honestly wish you guys wouldn't fly it at all. Fly the gay flag. Fiy the hammer and sickle. Fiy the BLM flag. The fact that you fiy it at all, regardless of manner, is desecration enough. I'd rather you just didn't, and truth be told you'd rather not either.
I see so many more people flying the American flag (or many of them) at their homes and businesses and throughout their towns in blue as hell New England than I ever did in Texas. Patriotism means different things to different people. But generally "I hate my country and would never lift a finger to defend it" is not a sign that you're in the more patriotic group.
So you're a yankee, huh? Makes sense. Glad you're not casting votes in Texas.
I'm a recent transplant from Texas. So not a real yankee, if you ask real yankees, but diversity is our strength after all.

I draw a line at diversity when you want to over sexualize my child and perform permanent mutilation on them.

Not big on serial killers and carnivals either. Not even for the sake of "diversity".

But go ahead and get worked up about Flag Code on this beautiful Sunday. Whatever floats your boat.

Here's the attention you crave.

Who's craving attention? Me or the people getting bent out of shape over the Flag Code, something that almost no one follows? Show me a 4th of July celebration and I'll show you tons of flag code violations. Hell you aren't even supposed to use it as decoration on clothing unless it's a patch on certain uniforms.

You aren't supposed to use it in advertising either. I'm pretty sure just about every political candidate violates that part in their merch store.

It's Joe Biden who doesn't GAF about America, morality, honesty, you name it thumbing his nose at all those things.

I think those who fly the pride flag have determined they were born with a particular holder for such flag.

Sad to see fellow Americans losing their ways.

I can't believe someone is upset that US flags are being sold in between Memorial Day and the 4th of July. And trying to call out some sort of flag code violation for a display in a store.

It sickens me that it's as almost as we glossed over Memorial Day so corporate America can go full pride mode.

Apologies if you missed the sarcasm in my post. Nobody is upset that American flags are being sold, myself included. Come the first week of July I'll have my American flag out and red white & blue bunting along the eaves of my house.

Pretending to be upset about a flag code violation is one of the dumbest things to be upset about. If you don't like the Pride Flag, just say so. Don't try and hide behind flag code outrage. Because the truth is, we all witness flag code violations every single year and nobody cares.

Sounds like the role model this country needs right now!
Yep. Except Dr. Jill was his babysitter who was engaged/married to another fella. Then the original Mrs. Biden and daughter died in a car accident and Biden just happened to start up this "no-infidelity" relationship quickly after.

But yeah. A sniffing, daughter showering, diaper wearing guy is exactly what this country needs.

Your deconstructionist filter probably won't let this through either, but the flag is a symbol and only has meaning imbued by the way it's treated. When those who are charged to be an embodiment of that symbol and to protect her symbolism chose instead to drag their collective asses over it (playing 2nd fiddle to the debauchery flag) - that's a big deal.

Especially for those of us who served in uniform for ideals married to that symbol.

If it was truly "no big deal" then they wouldn't have felt the desire to do it in the first place.

Then why aren't there scores of threads about thin blue line flags, flags on athletic uniforms, or flags with text/logos over them?

Because most people don't give a **** about the flag code. People clearly don't like the Pride flag. Just own up to it and don't hide behind flag code faux outrage.

To a previous post of mine: the federal executive isn't the same as Plumber Joe. The Commander In Chief's treatment of the flag should adhere to the standard.

And again: if this is just another NBD - you wouldn't be defending it.

Joe is trying to send the bat signal out that he showers with all children, not just his daughter, but little boys and also little boys who parents think they should be girls and little girls whose parents think they should be little boys.

Pedo Joe will shower with them all. And if anyone gets hurt, Dr Jill is on staff to assist. Pharmacist Hunter is able to provide any medicinal remedies that may be needed.

Such a wonderful family at 1600 Pennsylvania these days.
