DoJ also knows trial won't be in December. I don't think cannon postpones indefinitely, but sets a trial, early 2024 maybe, then moves it as needed.

Sure, and I stand by my position. You are free to discuss the aspect / basis of my position on that. Trump has absolute immunity from being charged with "crimes" allegedly committed in carrying out his official duties. It's clear that his speech and tweets on Jan 6th were appropriate for a sitting POTUS speaking to the public, as such, he is immune from any charges and prosecution.

I have laid it out before and provided examples and scenarios. It is utterly impractical under our system of government to prosecute a POTUS or FPOTUS for "crimes" allegedly committed whilst in office without first impeaching him, even if no longer in office. The impeachment determines if he acted within his duties / oath of office and any criminal proceedings would this follow… after a successful impeachment conviction.

People fail to understand just how far out of precedent, norms and boundaries of the US Constitution the Biden admin is.

Happy to participate in another discussion on my position. But I will close with this, if you can prosecute / persecute a POTUS or FPOTUS over political disagreements then you have thrown away the US Constitution and the whole ideas of what the Executive Branch is. Today is Jan 6th, tomorrow it could be Biden misleading about his health, or covering for his son, or drone striking an innocent afghan family, or failure to ensure certain crimes are prosecuted. Let me know what you think the boundaries are on this.

I misread / misthunk and replied think this was after election.
