Would be the biggest October surprise of all time!

That gives a solid year to make a round trip to the appeals court.

So marke me down for Oct '24 or thereabouts.

SCOTUS will have to stop any trial not done, including appeals, that extends beyond October 2023.

Any other option is our banana republic, unless Trump is dead or drops out of race.

I recall the Constitution making reference to right of free speech. Do not recall it giving any judge the authority for a defendant not to talk.

DJT should adamantly and vehemently defy any gag orders.

Folks seem to always point to SCOTUS not having a right to take on Trumps challenge based on the Constitution then blatantly ignore things that are indeed in the Constitution.

A defendant has an explicit right to defend themselves both in the court and in public. Gag orders are simply anti-American and something Putin would do.

I'm a Trump supporter but I must say, the prosecution trying to gag Trump may be the worst strategy for them possible. Fortunately for them, he won't abide by the order.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Trump put in jail on the basis of violating the gag order.
