Not to mention a Republican mayor as well. Trump still lost it bigly though (I'm sure he'd blame cheating)

It seems Trumps ego got in the way and blinded him to the fact that there are two sets of justice now, one for conservatives and one for leftists. This despite the fact that he was subjected to it during his presidency.

He thought that because Hillary broke the law and got away with it, he could too, despite knowing how corrupt the left is. If this were a Dem pres and conservative DOJ, the raid would not have taken place and the whole matter would have dropped.

I totally get it. Pride and anger is a big motivator.

The country is irrevocably broken. All the radical liberals in this thread celebrating this are simply more proof of that.

Yep, enforcing the law is a greta indicator that this country is going down the drain. Next you'll point to a strong job market as a other example of how close we are to the end of it.

You people have truly lost your way.

The law is being unequally enforced, Einstein. Reading comprehension is your friend.

Also, workforce participation rate is what is was back in the late 70s. That's not a strong job market. Get it back to what it was under Trump pre COVID, and then you can try to brag

Can't bring myself to care after reading the indictment.

Trump gets hammered by the DOJ and media but the guy just isn't smart. He brings a lot of it on himself.

If he goes down for something like this, that's on him. And it is another piece of evidence that he, Biden and Clinton should not be running the country.

You are owning yourself. The Republican turn Dem opponent was a former Florida governor. So not the easiest opponent the Dems could roll out.

And your case for stating the Florida is purple is that the two leading candidates for governor were a hardcore conservative and a moderate? And the hardcore conservative won by 20%?

It's funny, you libs state that a candidate's personal popularity is why Trump lost the election including areas that are typically red, but Desantis likability is irrelevant in his election including his coattails, it proves Florida is red. That's the typical cognitive dissonance we enjoy from lefties.

It's called an abberation. It is a swing state. Trump won by like 2 points over Hillary. He barely beat Biden. It was in the top 10 states as far as margin in 2020. Obama won the state both times. Al Gore was a few hanging chads from winning it in 2000.

Trump is extremely unpopular is even traditional Republican states. See Arizona and Georgia. Georgia hadn't gone blue since 92. Arizona since 96. Trump puts states in play for the Dems.

Florida has been a swing state for decades. But there has been a significant shift to the right since 2020. Otherwise, why would the Dems run a former Republican governor as their candidate? They knew they had no chance in the current climate to run a lefty.

Eh 2020 is a big asterisk from Covid, being that counties totally took advantage of mail-in ballots and changing what "meaningful access" meant when reviewing said ballots.

Counties already do this. Covid made it way worse.

Because *absolutely* nothing shady goes on in Harris County, or Detroit's surrounding counties, or Chicago's, etc.

Trump won those states in 2016 by 3 and 5% less than Romney did. 2 and 5% less than McCain did. His unpopularity narrowed the gap in those states substantially. And McCain and Romney weren't even that popular.

Heck he won Texas in 2016/2020 by 3-15% less than Romney, McCain and Bush.

I mean the texts between Nauta and Trump discuss moving boxes for Trump to go through them and then moving them back, presumably because there was not the nearby facility like other Presidents had during the times they were creating their Presidential Libraries. But was Trump even offered that accomodation that had been extended to his predecessors?

Florida has been a swing state for decades. But there has been a significant shift to the right since 2020. Otherwise, why would the Dems run a former Republican governor as their candidate? They knew they had no chance in the current climate to run a lefty.

I don't think it's significant. It's still solid purple imo and will get the most money spent on ad revenue in 2024 too, even if Desantis is the nom. I think Desantis just did too good a job with COVID in that state and that's the result.

We shall see.

Trump gets hammered by the DOJ and media but the guy just isn't smart. He brings a lot of it on himself.

If he goes down for something like this, that's on him. And it is another piece of evidence that he, Biden and Clinton should not be running the country.
Who do you think should "run" the country?
You are the world, we are the USA, don't mess with us and we won't blow your $hit away.

Folks, the Dems, the D.C. establishment and media have the general American public believing this is all a huge national security violation. When has a classified document stored in a former President's private residence ever caused any issues? If the federal government was so concerned over this issue, why don't they have safeguards in place to prevent this from happening in the first place. Why do they allow these top secret documents to be removed from a secured federal building to where a former president is in control of them? We've seen this same thing with Biden, Pence and Trump, and I'm sure a lot of other former Presidents and government officials. As much as Trump is to blame, more so is our supposed "high-level security" that is seriously lacking in our government. Just like the National Guardsman in MA that was able to gain access and expose top secret documents on the internet. Our government is a complete joke when it comes to national security with these classified documents.

Well, the others returned the documents when requested while donald refused under subpoena. I agree there is a problem and expect protocol being changed for more limited, secured access to presidents as a result.
