I had to once stop my brothers from using a little fiberglass recurve bow to shoot practice arrows almost straight up in the air, seeing how close they could land when they came back down.
haha that reminded me of my cousin who had a longbow and three or four arrows. We would take it and shoot the arrows, not straight up but at like a 60 degree angle and watch them arch up into the sky and fall to earth. Go pick them up and shoot them back in the direction where we came from. One day we shot in the direction away from the house, didn't notice my uncle and my dad had come outside and were looking at his freshly planted garden. One of us let loose with an arrow and it hit about 20 feet from them. I will never forget the look on their faces when the arrow hit in the dirt, and they looked our way.
