David Nuño: Standouts on the hardwood & diamond
- Fatamata Janneh recorded her eight double-double of the year. Ny’Ceara Pryor posted her fifth double-double with 13 points and 11 assists. Janneh had 16 points and 12 rebounds in their double-digit win over Auburn, 81-63. They own the state of Alabama.
- Wesley Jordan went 7-of-9, two home runs, four RBIs and batted .778. Caden Sorrell went 9-of-15, hit .600, three home runs and 10 RBI. Boston Kellner, the true freshman, went 5-for-10 with four doubles, four runs and four RBI. I think Aiden Sims deserves a little bit of love. He had one hit in six innings with seven strikeouts.
Olin Buchanan: Standouts on the hardwood & diamond
- We just talked about Sorrell being the SEC Player of the Week, and then Jordan, who hit .778 on the weekend. That’s pretty amazing. Sims threw a one-hitter, too.
- Women’s basketball also had a good week.
- We had some high-quality performances.
