Justice must have said nice things to Trump.

That is all it takes to get his endorsement.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Trump still posting about how he didn't make the Forbes 400 and he wants you to be mad about it:

@realDonaldTrump

Forbes Magazine is owned by Communist China. Nobody hates "TRUMP" more than they do. I told my people, years ago, don't waste your time talking to them, it's a giant Scam. Besides, Forbes is dying a slow death!

Who do we think his people are in this context, and why would they be talking to Forbes? Regardless appreciate the heads up on the giant Scam. Nice try Forbes.

I hope you and your 400 die a slow death!

At what point does ron start making his move? The gap is widening not narrowing. All we hear from a few of you is how great ron is. Why are others not seeing what the few of you are seeing? When does that narrowing occur? If the polls were reversed, we all know you would be throwing them in everyones faces.

Not I.

I have an IQ above my shoe size and realize polls are just a tick above semi-educated, pseudoscientific tardism.

Polls are trash. Always have been. Always will be.

That's great, a poll shows Trump with an insurmountable lead.

How about posting something besides a poll, something recent and relevant to the current and future, which convinces me that Trump is the right man for President in 2024?

Actually to be honest, as I've said, I think every poll is suspect. If a poll showed DeSantis in the lead my response would be, "Ok, doesn't matter until the votes are cast."

Who knows? Maybe he doesn't. I do know that the polls make no sense though. DeSantis is drawing larger crowds than Trump now and he is doing a LOT more events. He's got over 20,000 voters in Iowa alone that have signed a pledge to Caucus for him. If the polls are accurate for Iowa he literally has every person who is going to vote for him that has signed a pledge as well if you do the math. DeSantis is still raising a ton of money and getting endorsements as well. His interviews and actions have been absolutely nails, even Trump supporters agree with that for the most part.

I mean it is possible that all of this momentum is out there for Trump and the race is over. It's just bizarre that all of the normal signs aren't there and the fundraising and crowds are a fraction of what they were in '16 and '20 for Trump and he is making one flub after another. Maybe he is the guy. If so I'll vote for him. I just have never seen such a complete disconnect in polls vs what is happening on the ground.

If the polls are right you have nothing to worry about. Trump will knock out Ron after a few primaries. Why obsess over it? Aren't you excited to have Trump as the candidate? I mean doesn't that picture of Trump with Jesus in the Courtroom make you think "Independents are going to line up to vote for him!" Isn't it wonderful he is putting all of his weight behind a RINO for a Dark Red Senate seat so we can have Romney Part II in West Virginia? Gonna be great!

Polls haven't ever been relevant. Ever.

Ron seems to be on a tear, as of late, in what actually is relevant. Fundraising and garnering support in both voter support (events) and political support.

Again, you keep ignoring the "besides random polls" part of my question/request. And am I supposed to cast my vote for President because a poll told me to? That's literally the argument that Trump supporters are making...."Vote for Trump, this polls says he's a shoe-in!"

Wow. Convincing argument.

Seriously, all I'm asking for is something that Trump has said or done recently that justifies voting for him in 2024 to lead our country.

Apparently that's an impossible request.

Well if Trump lemming message board poster BD88 doubts he ever "starts his move", whatever that means, I guess he should just quit.

I know trumpers want everyone to drop out so they can anoint Dear Leader without anyone actually voting (and so Trump can use campaign donations to pay his mounting legal bills), but I think the rest of us are going to wait until actual primary votes are cast.

It's also telling that you never post anything positive about Trump, just polls and more polls. There's no defense or logical reason to vote for him at this point so I don't blame you, but still pretty strange.

I wonder how much of that MONEY would start flowing to him if other candidates start dropping out? I mean, there's a lot of Not Trump GOP voters out there that will end up voting for him if he's the nominee...but will they send him money, too?

So why should we vote for Trump besides polls then?

There are countless posts about DeSantis and what he has said and done as to why he is a great candidate. Most of the posts showing what Trump is doing and saying are negative not because they are focused on the negative it's just hard to find positives about Trump besides polls.

FWIW the NYT ran a lengthy hit piece on why DeSantis campaign is terrible and how it is hopeless. Wonder why they would do that? Do you think they have the best interests of the GOP in mind?

Some tidbits:

Quote:

In early May, as Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida prepared to run for president, about a dozen right-wing social media influencers gathered at his pollster's home for cocktails and a poolside buffet.

The guests all had large followings or successful podcasts and were already fans of the governor. But Mr. DeSantis's team wanted to turn them into a battalion of on-message surrogates who could tangle with Donald J. Trump and his supporters online.

For some, however, the gathering had the opposite effect, according to three attendees who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they did not want to damage their relationships with the governor or other Republican leaders.

Mr. DeSantis's advisers were defensive when asked about campaign strategy, they said, and struggled to come up with talking points beyond the vague notion of "freedom." Some of the guests at the meeting, which has not previously been reported, left doubtful that the DeSantis camp knew what it was in for.

Four months later, those worries seem more than justified. Mr. DeSantis's hyper-online strategy, once viewed as a potential strength, quickly became a glaring weakness on the presidential trail, with a series of gaffes, unforced errors and blown opportunities, according to former staff members, influencers with ties to the campaign and right-wing commentators.

Even after a recent concerted effort to reboot, the campaign has had trouble shaking off a reputation for being thin-skinned and meanspirited online, repeatedly insulting Trump supporters and alienating potential allies. Some of its most visible efforts including videos employing a Nazi symbol and homoerotic images have turned off donors and drawn much-needed attention away from the candidate. And, despite positioning itself as a social media-first campaign, it has been unable to halt the cascade of internet memes that belittle and ridicule Mr. DeSantis.
Quote:

The trouble began immediately. When Mr. DeSantis rolled out his campaign in a live chat on Twitter, the servers crashed, booting hundreds of thousands of people off the feed and drawing widespread ridicule.

When his campaign manager at the time, Generra Peck, discussed the fiasco at a meeting the next morning, she claimed the launch was so popular it broke the internet, according to three attendees, former aides who insisted on anonymity for fear of reprisal for discussing internal operations.

Each recalled being flabbergasted at the apparent disconnect: Senior staff members seemed convinced that an embarrassing disaster had somehow been a victory.

Ms. Peck exercised little oversight of the campaign's online operations, which were anchored by a team known internally as the "war room," according to the three former aides. The team consisted of high-energy, young staffers many just out of college who spent their days scanning the internet for noteworthy story lines, composing posts and dreaming up memes and videos they hoped would go viral.

At the helm was Christina Pushaw, Mr. DeSantis's rapid response director. Ms. Pushaw has become well known for her extremely online approach to communications, including a scorched-earth strategy when it comes to critics and the press. As the governor's press secretary, she frequently posted screenshots of queries from mainstream news outlets on the web rather than responding to them and once told followers to "drag" parlance for a prolonged public shaming an Associated Press reporter, which got her temporarily banned from Twitter.

Long before the presidential run was official, Ms. Pushaw and some others on the internet team often posting under the handle @DeSantisWarRoom aggressively went after critics, attacking the "legacy media" while promoting the governor's agenda in Florida.
And then there's this.

Quote:

The existing network of DeSantis influencers has presented challenges for the campaign. Online surrogates for Mr. DeSantis have repeatedly parroted, word for word, the talking points emailed to them each day by the campaign, undermining the effort to project an image of widespread and organic support.

Last month, for example, three different accounts almost simultaneously posted about Mr. Trump getting booed at a college football game in Iowa. Bill Mitchell, a DeSantis supporter with a large following on X, said the identical posts were coincidental.

"I talk with all of the team members when necessary but other than the daily emails get no specific direction," he said.
