Dude could have a stroke and be talking like fetterman and they'd still be worshiping him and his Twitter game.

Actually they don't really post what he does on Truth because he has gone off the deep end. Trump goes back to Twitter and allows for massive retweets and it will be terrible for him, he isn't funny anymore he is just unhinged and filled with misspelled rants in all caps.

How embarrassing.

Just goes to show that he really isn't a policy guy. He likes slogans that he can tout and throw out in a rally. But he really doesn't pay attention or understand what he supports and why.
The actual video is much worse than the quote, damn he looks terrible and is stumbling all over himself as he tries to take both sides.

No doubt there will be a Trump devotee trying to defend this video with a laugh cry emoji and a complete deflection, but my God Trump looks and sounds really, really bad in that video. Not just the rambling incoherent response (Boyd was dead on about Trump having no clue about anything beyond soundbites), but physically that is not a man who should be put in the position of running the free world right now much less from 2024 to 2028.

Brilliant. Desantis is not just playing offense he's playing non-stop attack style offense that doesn't give the opponent time to catch their breath and figure how to punch back. They're left in constant defensive mode. And he's just getting started folks.

Or maybe he should just post a rambling unintelligible rant in all caps on a social media platform that no one really uses. Maybe that's the trick to beating the Dems.

This is the truth. People keep saying the line "Trump is the same guy he has always been". Age has clearly caught up with him the in last couple years. I follow him on Truth Social just for fun. His posts on Twitter in 2015 had shock value and were rough around the edges. But the crap he posts now truly comes off unhinged.

If a Texags poster posted the way he does now, you think the guy was nuts. If your grandpa started emailing or posting on Facebook like that, you'd check him into assisted living and take away the car keys.

Donald in 2023 is showing signs off serious decline vs Donald of 2015.

Yep, been saying it for a while. People still have an image of Trump that isn't what he is now and it is going to continue to be exposed. You are going to see "Trump is the same guy he has always been" become "He is in great shape for a guy his age". Problem is at least for now we don't have to pick between 2 80 year olds. Won't be long before the same tropes used on Biden start to come out and they start talking about elder abuse. Problem is that will send Trump and his supporters into a rage and he will become MORE unhinged.

Trump isn't going to get the kid gloves and media support Biden did in '20, he is going to have to go out and do more events and interviews. This interview showed he is losing a step so he HAS to come out and do more to show he hasn't and they will lead to more mistakes.

That's why DeSantis is in a great position. He can just let Trump self destruct on his own. He can just keep canvassing the country and speaking and doing interviews with clarity and a plan and let the contrast become obvious.

Yep. Trump is starting to unhinge. DeSantis lives rent free in his head. So much so Trump has forgotten those that truly betrayed him in false impeachment hearings during his single term before he lost to Biden.!! Friggin Biden, the ultimate loser.

I wonder if Trump will be focusing his Truth Social blasts on this new poll today:

Trump 47 DeSantis 26 (why that's forty or fifty points!!)

Overall, 47% of Republicans and Republican-leaning registered voters say Trump is their first choice for the party's nomination for president, down from 53% in a May CNN poll.

Support for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis held steady at 26% in the latest poll,

with former Vice President Mike Pence at 9%, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley at 5%, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott at 4%, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 3% and the remaining candidates at 1% or less.

In addition to the decline in support for Trump's candidacy, his favorability rating among Republican-aligned voters has dipped, from 77% in May to 67% now, while the share who say they would not support him for the nomination under any circumstances has climbed, from 16% in May to 23% now. At the same time, there has been a similar increase in the share saying they would not back DeSantis under any circumstances (up 6 points to 21%), while the shares ruling out other top candidates have held roughly steady.

any incumbent under 50% support with 100% name recognition -is not going to win a general election.

Trump loves his polls!

Hmmm...

is a - 40 approval rating among independents good for ensuring election?

at the same time Trump loses to Biden in every state.

So the polls that decide who the next president will be aren't maga friendly? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.

True, but I don't see the decline some are talking about. His Truth game is off the rails, but this seemed like normal trump

I could only get through 5 minutes but it did seem like "normal" Trump in that interview. However "normal" Trump is still not nearly as effective in communicating positions as "normal" DeSantis.

We've had Trump before and we can do much much better than him.

But Trump will win all of the "rural areas" and add in the black vote and he'll sweep the nation. /Cult45

Agreed. At the end of the day it's about leadership. Trump has great policies in many respects but he obviously struggles to lead. Or least to recruit like minded people that he can trust

He lost his train of thought quite a bit and rambled more than he used to. He either didn't hear or wasn't listening to some of the questions as well. The JFK/RFK slipup for instance. Just did a quick search from 2016, here is Trump doing a difficult interview with Wolf Blitzer during the Primaries. He slows down, he's in control. He looks at the camera. He controls the space. He is careful in his wording and looks calm. He makes the interviewer look like the bad guy. Really interesting time capsule as well. Oh, and obviously he looks very different physically.
