I want to punish the woke companies and use another company as an example. The fact that she kicked it off is immaterial to me.

Except here they did not **** with the flavor in order to be more like their chief competitor without recognizing customers who preferred coke preferred the flavor of coke "classic" despite the "taste tests".

Here, BL went full tilt associating their product with behavior that many, many folks who actually drink their product found abhorrent and untenable. Its not just bad marketing, they actively disrespected and offended their primary customer.

But to your point, this will make New Coke seem like a poor seasonal marketing campaign compared to terminating the most popular beer brand in the US.

Exactly, the biggest expense to Coke likely was the production costs they wasted in creating New Coke it but it actually made people nostalgic for the "classic coke."

Beer is fickle. If Bud Light is what was available if I wanted a beer, then bud light it is. Miller is fine, I can tolerate Coors but Yuengling is equally acceptable and without the woke. And its sort of the last American brewer out there.

Yuengling should 5x their marketing budget this summer and run the red, white and blue cans nonstop.

I also would put good money on InBev selling the AB segment before end of year.

I still think New Coke was sort of unintentional genius. Pepsi was gaining on Cokes market share. When they reintroduced Coke Classic…..Pepsi was left in the dust.

New Coke is totally different than this Bud Light fiasco

Roger that. I think Americans respect an American company or an American product / brand going all in on the red, white and blue. When its genuine, its effective. When its just for show, its counter-productive.

Yuengling could put a portion of sales to patriotic causes / charities and leverage their made in America, owned by Americans, etc.

I don't think the case of Yuengling is pandering. My son goes to Penn St and they are a pretty good "America" proud company. Their advertising has always been about being America's oldest brewery, family owned and American made.

All these articles comparing Bud Light sales to Miller and Coors are fine and all, but I want to see the comparison to Yuengling Flight. I don't see their sales figures reported anywhere on a quick web search. I think the media is going to be reluctant to report those figures if they are even available because they are probably going to show a multi-hundred percent sales volume increase.

I realize that a hundred thousand cases of YF is going make a much larger percentage increase than a hundred thousand cases of Miller Lite, but most people aren't going to think about that when they see a headline that reds "Yuengling Flight has a 500% Sales Increase in the Wake of Bud Light Fiasco."

Yuengling is family owned private business, they are not required to report anything.
I hope they do not have offices in NY. I have heard that there if private business records a private expense in the wrong internally reported category, their CEO can be charged with a felony, regardless of any statute of limitations and regardless of whether this internal reporting was ever shared with anyone or used to obtain a loan, business deal etc.

None of that matters in NY. Private business internal records are subject to felony / criminal charges for putting an expense in the wrong expense category. Crazy how things work up there.

I caution Yuengling. particularly if they get to patriotic with their beer cans and become radicalized white supremacist domestic ultra Mega MAGA terrorist.

What I would love to see is InBev sell off AB back to the Busch family. There is no way this crap would have happened if August "Three Sticks" was still running the company. His son IV was CEO last and I'm not sure if there is an August Busch V but there has to be someone capable.

IV led the AB Marketing Team before becoming CEO and was considered instrumental in boosting the brands to a younger audience. I guess he was the "fratty" influence that Heinersheid wanted to obliterate.

It sounds as if Yuengling sells out often. I suspect they are at capacity. If they are going to take X% of BL shelf space and spend 5X on marketing they better have the production capacity for the shelf space and the demand.

They already have their Texas beers made at the Coors plant in Ft. Worth. I don't really think capacity is the issue as much as shelf space. Therefore, once the AB shelf space drops I bet you'll see plenty of Yuengling and it won't be so hard to get. It would be difficult for a retailer to store in the back the equivalent amount of Yuengling products as AB products because in many stores the Yuengling shelf space is limited to the width of a single 6 or 12 pack for their lager, light and Flight.

Yeah... I hate to say it but Big Tech is especially immune from "get woke go broke".

I mean... take Google. They've got a monopoly on basically everything- video streaming with Youtube, the Google search engine, web browsers with Google Chrome... And the alternatives aren't good enough to convince most people to migrate. Odysee, Bitchute and the like don't have the content people want to see (which becomes a chicken and egg problem since if people don't go there, there won't BE any content) and people refuse to use them because "it's for conservatives".
In the case of DuckDuckGo, it's just as bad as Google is about privacy and censorship, so most people see it as "new boss, just the same as the old boss". Plus the search results aren't nearly as accurate. The first page of DuckDuckGo just feels like the 6th or 7th page of Google over half of the time.
And for Brave, Brave doesn't have the backing that giants like Firefox or Chrome do so it's buggier (in my personal experience using it)

What I'm hoping for is that seeing other companies lose money for adopting leftist dogma will scare the tech companies into backing off.
