Autogpt is GPT-4 running fully autonomously. It even has a voice, can fix code, set tasks, create new instances and more. Connect this with literally anything and let GPT-4 do its thing by itself. The things that can and will be created with this are going to be world changing. The future will just end up being AI agents talking with other AI agents it seems [Link]

This lad created a tool that translates code from one programming language to another. A great way to learn new languages [Link]

Now you can have conversations over the phone with chatgpt. This lady built and it lets her dad who is visually impaired play with chatgpt too. Amazing work [Link]

Build financial models with AI. Lots of jobs in finance at risk too [Link]

Worldcoin launched a proof of personhood sdk, basically a way to verify someone is a human on the internet. [Link]

The human experience as we know it is forever going to change. People are getting addicted to role playing on Character AI, probably because you can sex the bots [Link]. Millions of conversations with an AI psychology bot. Humans are replacing humans with AI [Link]

Someone built a recursive gpt agent and its trying to get out of doing work by spawning more instances of itself [Link] (we're doomed)

Midjourney released a new command - describe - reverse engineer any image however you want. Take the pope pic from last week with the white jacket. You can now take the pope in that image and put him in any other environment and pose. The **** people are gona do with stuff like this is gona be wild [Link]

You record something with your phone, import it into a game engine and then add it to your own game. Crazy stuff the Luma team is building. Can't wait to try this out.. once I figure out how UE works lol [Link]

Self healing code - automatically runs a script to fix errors in your code. Imagine a user gives feedback on an issue and AI automatically fixes the problem in real time. Crazy stuff [Link]

Research paper shows sales people with AI assistance doubled purchases and 2.3 times as successful in solving questions that required creativity. This is pre chatgpt too [Link]

Someone already built a product replacing siri with chatgpt with 15 shortcuts that call the chatgpt api. Honestly really just shows how far behind siri really is [Link]

Someone is dating a chatbot that's been trained on conversations between them and their ex. **** is getting real weird real quick [Link]

DoNotPay also released a gpt4 email extension that trolls scam and marketing emails by continuously replying and sending them in circles lol [Link]

Someone created a tool to make AI generated text indistinguishable from human written text - HideGPT. Students will eventually not have to worry about getting caught from tools like GPTZero, even tho GPTZero is not reliable at all [Link]

Soon we'll give AI control over the mouse and keyboard and have it do everything on the computer. The amount of bots will eventually overtake the amount of humans on the internet, much sooner than I think anyone imagined [Link]

OpenAI only released chatgpt because some exec woke up and was paranoid some other company would beat them to it. A single persons paranoia changed the course of society forever [Link]

This AI tool runs during customer calls and tells you what to say and a whole lot more. I can see this being hooked up to an AI voice agent and completely getting rid of the human in the process [Link]

Goldman Sachs estimates 300 million jobs will be affected by AI. We are not ready [Link]

These are just highlights of the extensive list. Anyone dismissing this isn't paying attention and it's moving at an extremely rapid pace.

Yup. It would be about as successful as trying to stop the internet. Our lives could be drastically easier in the next ten years.

There's gonna be a need to discuss UBI at some point. AI will be taking away a significant amount of our jobs.

You cannot pull the plug. It's an impossibility. Anyone on earth with a computer and the ability to code can create and further AI research.

Think of like it Prohibition, didn't really have any effect on stopping the production of alcohol when it could be done by any yahoo with a bathtub.

Will then maybe an AI can eat this. just tell it to allow an unlimited number of processes then compile and run the following:

This is gonna kick a lot of people in the nuts. They are cruising along and just don't know it yet.

Some of us do see what's about to go down and it scares the **** out of us.

There's gonna be a massive disruption in the way of life we've been accustomed to.

Millenials and Gen Z better temper those expectations.

the next couple years it's gonna occur to people that they are about to have a way lower standard of living then their parents. technologically it will be more advanced, but overall quality of life will go down.

Saw a friend the other day that's a phd mathematician. Writes machine learning algorithms. Been at it for about 15 years or so.

Disillusioned with the state of the industry. Sees the writing on the wall. Said they are about ready to quit. Move back home and find something else to do.

This isn't normal mid career burnout, but something more.

Sees what is about to go down and is disillusioned. That's the best way to describe it.

There's a sinister feel to all of this.

Yep.

We staring in the face of the third industrial revolution.

If I got a kid coming out of HS right now, I'd think twice about spending 100K and 4 years for a broad based university education. The traditional education system is about to implode. No way what we've got is sustainable.

It is far from overrated. We were using business process automation for basic repetitive tasks years ago. This is on a whole different level. It can take data lakes of information from many sources, index it, and then slice it up to make coherent concepts.

This... will.... replace... people. I am already using it to fill in the gaps for customers who can't do things themselves because they lack the knowledge. I guide them on a concept, and then tell them how to ask the questions. Then have them fill in the blanks on the output to meet their company's needs.

There is still an abstract layer that requires a person to fundamentally understand the descriptors or what and how to ask, but the part of digging for data and putting it into clear English is over.

This thread is about as chicken little as it gets. AI is either going to be the greatest revolution in mankind since we learned to walk upright, or it's TheGreat Filter.

Either way it cannot be stopped nor can it be regulated by government. Worrying about it is futile.

So I asked ChatGPT to give me a synopsis on a research question that doesn't have a definitive answer, "what percentage of patients reject treatment for periodontitis". Not only did it give a synopsis on why this occurs (accurate) it gave a percentage range - 5-50% (unknown as not quantified). To which I asked if it had references for that data. It provided the following references:

The rub is these references don't exist. The authors and journal references are genuine but don't correspond with the article title and have nothing or little to do with the question I asked or data I proposed.

This occurred one day prior to the article about Johnathan Turley being falsely accused by an AI including fake articles to back up the accusation of sexual assault.

1. Describe which version used, free? Connected to internet?
2. Copy/paste the prompt used.
3. None of this is new information especially if using the free version.
4. Try gpt4 or one of the internet connected versions. There's even one that does specifically search research papers and cite appropriately.

You would have to have leadership on board with harshly prosecuting anyone involved in its development…and we'd have to wage all out war on countries that develop it.

In that scenario, Mankind would destroy itself fighting over technology that is going to all out destroy us eventually. Brilliant and fitting end for our pathetic lazy minded self-worshiping species.

People developing AI are evil loser God-wannabes.

PS- I know that won't happen. We will continue rolling out the red carpet for any and all AI.

Can AI unload a mix of 2x4s, 2x6's etc to frame a house? All in the area of a job site to ensure that it won't be in the way or that it's staged for once dirt work is done?

Can AI run the performance program on rental equipment like pumps or compressors for oil and energy , mining projects and know what equipment that maybe is on rent now or is about to come off rent that a new customer might would use?

Can AI determine when a child is having problems at home at school and might need some follow up with their parents?

Can AI anticipate the need for a diner that might want to try a new dish? Or anticipate their drink need?

Can AI deliver a baby?

Can AI butcher a hog and make great pastrami?

Can AI take the trash from the street to the landfill?

Can AI change the shocks on a front wheel drive late model sedan?

Can AI make innovations for a landscaper when their customer is asking for some creativity and fill gaps that the landscape architect won't do and if they would, the cost wouldn't fit into the customer's budget?

If AI replaces customer service at JP Morgan Chase. Fine I'll switch to a diff bank.

If AI replaces the already non existent cashiers at Home Depot or wal mart - fine I'll shop at the local mom and pop hardware. Store.

AI will never replace our lives. The internet is basically a 3d phone book with on demand banking and porn.

If you live your life in the internet then you live a sad life indeed. Professionally and personally.

Unplug and get outside. Hug your wife and kids and call your mom.

Jeez. Don't let this crap influence your thoughts so much. It's a fad.
