It's just a personal opinion, but the main reason I'll be voting for DeSantis is his ability to get things done and explain it to the benighted. The emotionally stunted who wake up with the thought of putting the Trump family in Sobibor will never listen or consider being enlightened.

Trump did some awesome things, much more than I thought he would. The number one action he didn't do, and in fact it got worse under him, was making the swamp less swampy. He chose his appointments (not all of them) very poorly, which really speaks to his advisors.

DeSantis won't likely make that mistake. He's much more politically astute and will be able to take on the folks who, if he wins, will automatically screech to impeach him.

There's a part of me that would enjoy seeing Trump re-elected if only for the whining and moaning about our democracy from the mountain of ignorance and hate.

No one can drain the swamp in one term since federal workers are ensconced forever in their job, but DeSantis would likely be much better than Trump.

If the people here who proclaim that Trump is 100% innocent and all of this is merely "The Swamp" going after him do nothing when he is arrested can we at long last put an end to this fantasy of the Right rising up and forcefully taking back their country. You know..... the 2nd Civil War fantasy.

Simply put if, in your heart of hearts, you believe Trump being arrested is political theater and you do nothing.......then you never will.

So, lets use this arrest, if it should happen as a litmus test of sorts and see if people will actually step up.

I agree somewhat. I'd like to place measurable objectives as to what "draining the swamp" means. What does it mean? Reducing federal payroll by 100k? Firing the top 50 at CIA and FBI (each)?
