Things my kids want to do that, having seen the light, I now will encourage:
- playing with the wall sockets
- playing in the street
- grabbing knives and hot cookware from the counter/stove
- opening the kitchen cabinets and opening/tasting all solvents
- standing on the open dishwasher door
- eating dirt
- never having to go #2 in a toilet rather than a pullup/diaper
- licking the inside of the trainer potty
- splashing their hands in the toilet bowl water
- running through the house with toothbrushes in their mouths
- leaping between pieces of furniture
- using my power tools without supervision
- not eating their vegtables
Mistaken ideas my kids have that, having seen the light, I now will indulge:
- they are dinosaurs
- they are lions
- their baby sister is a monster
- when mom leaves the house to run errands, she's not coming back home
- when mom gets a cold, it's life-threatening
- if they fail the first time they try something, they should just give up
- if they whine and moan enough, they can get their way on anything
