Traditional yes. Induction no. Virtually every high end restaurant in Europe uses them. Many here do. It has a lot of advantages over gas.

This isn't even an externality that harms uninvolved 3rd parties (like say pollution or 2nd hand smoke).
This is akin to not allowing an adult to smoke in their own home because of fears of 2nd hand smoke to their children. Don't worry about my kids. I am more than capable of making decisions regarding what potential risks are and aren't real and/or acceptable, and it is absolutely not the federal government's job to do it for me.
