Comedian, writer, and Fox News contributor Francis Ellis has been caught on a hot mic slamming the news network and its stars, including Tucker Carlson, accusing them of 'trafficking in hate.'
Ellis, a host on the sports and pop culture blog Barstool Sports, appeared on Monday night's edition of the Jesse Watters Primetime 7pm show on Fox News, but the following day set about dressing down the platform while speaking with his Barstool colleague Adam Ferrone.
Assuming his microphone was switched off, Ellis told Ferrone the network is 'trafficking in hate' and recalled a conversation he had with his wife in which she asked: 'Do you want to be working with these f***ing people?' He went on to imply he'd still take a job there if they were to offer him a prime time slot.
The clip was mistakenly published by Barstool Sports before it was taken down. The audio was obtained by Mediaite, which aired it in full.
Francis Ellis, a regular guest on Fox News, appeared on Jesse Watters' show Monday night. The following day, he accused the network and its presenters of 'trafficking in hate'
Ellis began by telling Ferrone about his Monday night appearance on Fox and expressed discomfort with his performance.
'Well, he wanted me to talk about how Democrats in Massachusetts want to lower the voting age to 16 - I did a To Catch a Predator joke,' he said. 'I had a QAnon reference in there.'
Ellis said he felt 'a little like stammery and I just couldn't get my feet under me. And I was like, I'm trying too hard.'
Responding to a question about whether he'd take a job at Fox News, Ellis said: 'They have asked me to do Man On The Street for them, and I had to say no.
'They wanted me to take like this subway bingo card down into the subway and be like ask random strangers, ''Have you seen a rat, fill out your bingo card thing?'' And it was like so stupid.'
But when asked by Ferrone what he would say if Fox offered him a prime time segment, Ellis replied: 'Well, yeah... I'd have to have a conversation with [Barstool president Dave Portnoy] for sure. Like, ''Hey, I have a full time job being offered to me at Fox News!'',' implying he would take the job in spite of his feelings about the network.
I don't either, did Portnoy's wife have a boyfriend or something?AgGrad99 said:
I'm lost too. Some context from the OP would be nice, so we can decide if this is funny or not.Fightin_Aggie said:I don't either, did Portnoy's wife have a boyfriend or something?AgGrad99 said:

Portnoy would be absolutely skewered as a lib on this board.Quote:

I think Alex Stein is a clown. His actions are childish, even if they're supposedly benefiting the right.
