The answer is in that last phrase. No one cares about him, so the administration won't even bother fighting for him.

Once again, with biden at the helm, we got the short end of the deal. Well, not in terms of height, he is definitely taller than the Russian.

If I were Russia or a similar country, as long as biden or harris were in the White House (controlled by the same people), it would encourage me to plant drugs on American travelers or arrest them on some charge to have more bait for similar swaps.
