If you've ever been out in the real world, you know there is no such thing as "I know they're not hooking up because I have eyes." I've seen many ugly dudes bag beautiful women, and vice versa. It happens regularly.

We know Kohberger was on Tinder because at least one chick has come out and done an interview about her date with him. I wouldn't discount anything yet considering how little we still know.

I'll piggyback on my own post there as there's been an interview that's come out with a gal that he met through a dating app years back. she was so creeped out by this guy (she said not scared of him, just weirded out by him) that she went to the bathroom and faked puking so that he'd leave her apartment or dorm. She didn't even come out to tell him -- she texted him through the app and he left. He then texted her back something along the lines of "you have great birthing hips" and she blocked him and never talked to him again.

Hard to tell what she looked like visually as I only heard her interview audio, but she sounded like someone that would be in the same class as BK (let's call her a 6). I just don't see these gorgeous girls matching with BK -- he's a decent looking dude, but I'm sure that these gals could have their pick of the litter with any alpha male studs, especially at a school like Idaho. It's not Arizona State...

6 years of life can impact a person's appearance for better or worse.

Why does there have to be any motivation to take a scenic drive? Plus, at the time didn't others here say there was bad weather in the Dakotas during that trip, and the route through Colorado was roughly the same time difference? He didn't know at the time they were surveilling him, he wasn't on the run and necessarily trying to hide his tracks. I think it's a huge leap to try and get the dad on accessory unless they can find some evidence he knew and was trying to protect his son by getting him home.

Thinking about him waiving his right to a speedy trial, I think this guy fancies himself a serial killer like BTK or Bundy and wants his moment in the sun to last as long as possible. Bundy escaped a couple of times, so he's already looking for an opportunity to escape. Plus, he's in no hurry for this to end, because at that point he just becomes some big twitchy dudes girlfriend and we never hear from him again.

I don't think you need to question motivation for actions that are defensibly normal.

Are you asking why the suspect acted in a normal manner when we know after the fact he has been implicated in the murders? I can't answer that.

Yeah, the guy returned to normal life. Went back to class, went to the doctor, went to the DMV and updated his car registration. He continued on in a normal fashion, hard to take anything from the drive back home except a route the wanted to take to see more of the country or something.

In the absence of the facts, we speculate wildly and postulate theories. It could be a long time before we know the true facts, but I want to thank each and every poster on this thread for being involved, citing sources, posting new news, making guesses and bringing conversation and experience to this thread.

I enjoy the debate and discussion because we all want some form of closure. We need to know why this horrible crime happened. So, in the absence of data, we speculate to give us some comfort.

Let's continue to put forth ideas, and information and hesitate to call out those who may have different ideas regarding the circumstances.

I think slow speed is in his favor. He's left some serious work for a defense team. Allowing them time to work and allowing some time to pass from the murder is to his benefit IMO

I would only see the meandering trip as nefarious if he had some idea authorities were on to him and he was trying to evade them. However the end point was his parents' house, exactly where they nabbed him.
