This has to be grossing people out across the country reading about this guy… I read more of what y'all are posting and it's just sickening that some weirdo could do this and then to think he thought he could get away with it.
I think a lot more people will be checking those doors locks, making sure their cams work, and making sure their guns are all loaded and ready.
That poor girl that had to witness this .. I feel for her.
They should put this guy in a barn w tied hands and feet, let the 4 sets of parents in the barn and shut the door. When the parents walk out .. light a match

I am surprised at the range of reactions to the girl that saw him and her behavior.
For example about seeing blood on him or not. About 5 years ago I cut myself pretty bad in the garage doing some woodworking. Walked into the house calmly to decide if I needed stitches or not on my hand and began cleaning myself up as best I could. I remained calm as my wife started in about something. She then got angry that I wasn't answering her questions with detailed responses. It took her a solid two minutes to notice I had a hand covered in blood and was trying to decide what to do.
People aren't as observant as we would like them to be all the time. Include poor lighting, booze, surprise, etc and you get seemingly odd results. I have randomly been able to recall license plate numbers in the past but couldn't tell you the make or color of a car. My flashbulb memory grabbed something but not everything from a moment. It happens.

If he was in dark clothes in the relative dark, even a lot of blood on his clothes would probably not have not been very apparent.
Could it be that he committed the murders, left, realized that he left evidence behind and went back to the scene. That's when the roommate saw him walking through the house. So no knife, no hurry, nothing strange about him. Just him going through the house, but when she saw him and he saw her, he said "I'm here to help". She didn't think anything else of it. She didn't know who he was but said he was here to help. She took it as that and went back to bed. He might have thought she was going to call 911 and decided it wasn't worth getting caught and left the house.

From the pings, it looks like he parked on the road above and to the southeast (?) side of the house. That means the slider on the second floor was more likely the means of egress and ingress. Parking somewhere near where that blue car in parked.

That's how I interpreted it as well; DM heard a voice speak to one of the victims telling them "it's okay I'm here to help", likely after he already attacked the other person in their room and just before he attacked them.
Afterward DM heard crying and whimpering. She then opened her door and saw the killer walking towards her (presumably down the stairs if M&K were the last victims) before he exited the house through the kitchen and the sliding door in the adjacent room

This helps a ton to finally get a sense of bearings inside the house. So he walks in, passes by the stairs & DM's room, goes to Xana's which is a decent distance away from DM, doesn't share walls, etc.
Kills X & E, then passes by DM's door to go to floor 3, kills K & M, then back down the stairs, hangs a left and out the sliding door.
I could easily see in the pitch black dark with DM's door slightly open that he doesn't even look that way and goes left out the sliding door but she was likely within 2-5 feet of him as he walked by her on his way out. Super freaky.
Wow. That's pretty cool tool. The walkway between DM room, kitchen and XK room is very odd which might have played into why she survived. Maybe he didn't see her but she saw him.

Disagree. He was more likely coming from Xana's bedroom on the second floor because of the way that DM's bedroom door swings. She would have had to poke her head out to see him coming down the stairs from the third floor.Quote:

You mean nothing strange except him walking through their house dressed in black w a mask? That' was DMs eye witness account of the person/ killer
9am would've had enough sun light to illuminate the kitchen by DMs room through the windows and glass sliding door. The sunlight would have given her more details of the suspect. Besides she said she heard cries and activity, which prompted her to open the door to investigate. Surely the victims didn't linger in excruciating pain and agony for 4&1/2 hours before they expired (God I hope not).
IMO, he was likely restless and got up and drove back to house to see if the crime was discovered. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it would be too risky, even for this creep, to go into the scene, look for a sheath and walk out w it in broad day light

Could be, sure. Either way, the point is her door is right next to the stairs so he passed by her in extremely close quarters.
I interpreted DMs account that her door was opened and she saw the killers profile in the kitchen as he was leaving . Perhaps he turned towards her looking for the sheath just before he exited and didn't even notice her.
If he was leaving X&E s room then, IMO, DM would've heard more commotion cries screams etc after he passed her. Assuming E&X were the first victims.
If M&K were the first victims w E&X last, then I think she saw him through the cracked door as he was walking out of Xs room is into the kitchen to leave through the sliding door

Well it was dark outside at the time and I believe she saw him out the window (could be wrong). Even if she saw him inside, I doubt it was lighted at all. It would probably be pretty difficult to see blood on black clothes in that context.

Okay. If it was dark, it's still completely believable she wouldn't notice blood on his black clothes. Especially in that state of quasi-shock. Notice the "Even if she saw him inside" in the very post you quoted.

it is literally chilling.
DM is going to be having vicious nightmares for the rest of her life. I can't imagine the trauma of what she must be going through which is a living hell right now.
This is a message board. No need to get so bent out of shape for people noticing something like that.
and DM is completely going to be in therapy the rest of her life- coming face to face with the killer. the guilt and trauma and horror will be very hard to overcome.
and if we have random folks on here postulating she was HELPING the murderer- well that is probably not going to be great for her mental health either.

She heard crying and whimpering when BK was leaving. Sounds like at least one of the roommates was still alive, and maybe could have been saved if she had immediately called 911.

She was also probably drunk, which if I saw any of this at 4am when I was in college I wouldnt have believed it nor would I have had an accurate memory of it
What doesn't make sense is this:
This was either totally random or I've seen many on here speculate that the targets were Xana and Maddie. If either were the case he'd already shown his willingness to brutally murder two other people. This was highly planned and he clearly thought he was getting away from it due to him being so calm on the traffic stops going back to PA. He had been stalking the house for MONTHS and several times the night of the murders. There's next to no chance that he did not know that there were two other people in that house. Why in the world would he let them live?

I hate to belabor this point, but the surviving roommate opens her door twice, hears Xana crying both times, sees a shady looking guy dressed in all black leaving the house, she was frozen in shock after witnessing something obviously traumatic, and just decides to shut her door and go to bed and not call 911?? It sounds like she was pretty coherent in recalling the details and timeline of that night, I dont think she was super drunk or high like others have claimed.
99% of people would have immediately called 911 after witnessing something like this or at least check on your friends to see if they are ok, but she decides to do nothing. Its just sounds crazy to me.

The roommate told police she opened her door for a third time after she heard crying and saw "a figure clad in black clothing and a mask that covered the person's mouth and nose walking towards her." She described the person as a 5'10" man with an athletic build and bushy eyebrows.
The man walked past the roommate as she stood in a "frozen shock phase." She then saw the man walk towards the back sliding glass door of the house, at which point she locked herself in her room.

That doesnt seem uncommon for college kids to get food delivery at 4am after a night out lol. She probably ordered it at 3am and it took an hour or so to get there.PA24 said:
