I've seen mixed stuff on the actual bodies. I feel like I read that Evan was found out of the bedroom on the 2nd floor as if he'd stumbled upon the killer or maybe the fight moved out of the bedroom. Also read that Kaylee and Madison were found on top of each other. Not much has leaked out about the scene though
It would have to be, wouldn't you think? Most people probably go years without being pulled over by not driving like a fleeing murderer. To get stopped 2 times on one trip doesn't seem like something that normally would happen.Smeghead4761 said:
Interesting note that I haven't seen mentioned yet: according to a FB post by the group Street Cop Training, BK was stopped by cops on two occasions during his cross country drive; however, no warrants had been issued at the time those stops were made.
This is interesting because one of SCT's big training things is traffic based interdiction, where they teach police how to cue in on suspicious driver behaviors, usually reactions to noticing a police vehicle, that can be indicators that the vehicle's occupant or occupants may have something to hide or reason to be wary of police, such as the presence of drugs or other contraband in the vehicle, or arrest warrants.
Whether the officers that stopped BK were cueing in on such behaviors is unknown, but it's entirely possible.

BS flags abound.
Perhaps not that suspicious. They were driving a White Elantra that the entire nation was looking for. Perhaps only being stopped twice is the suspicious part. Perhaps they were wanting to see where they were going.HtownAg92 said:It would have to be, wouldn't you think? That training appears to be ripe for abuse. Not sure what the "suspicious behaviors" entails, but it seems the police could claim it for anything, like slamming on the brakes when entering a speed trap.
Did what to see if it jostled him? Had a trooper use a traffic stop to approach him to see if he gives off guilty vibes? That seems like a giant, potentially deadly risk for virtually no gain.Lonestar_Ag09 said:

There have been plenty of disparaging things said about the Moscow PD…yet it seems they did a really good job if he is in fact the perp

Oh, and do it solo as backup would only arouse suspicion. So just nonchalantly walk up to a potentially desperate murderer who may be capable of anything at that point to see how he reacts.HtownAg92 said:
And impossible to coordinate?
Hey, Trooper -- we have no certainty that a white guy in a white non-descript foreign 4 door will come driving through your area, or when, but please find that needle in a hay stack vehicle and pull it over to F with the driver to see if he flinches.
no he doesn't that's the bullet proof vest he is on...MsDoubleD81 said:

I would argue he was pulled over because he was driving a make and model of a car that the entire world was looking for.HtownAg92 said:

Yes the press is awful. Some "expert" was tweeting that his "intimidating size" of 6ft 185 was incriminating, because it would take such a big guy to do this crime.Quote:

No arrest needed. Under civil asset forfeiture laws, police can seize (and keep) cash they think (or conveniently assume) is crime-related with no due process.Burdizzo said:TexasRebel said:

Something like that. The story was posted here several years ago related to seizure laws that allowed the arresting agency to keep the money.

I would consider 6' 185lbs a relatively big guy. Especially if he was a physically fit 185 and in when in comparison to the three girls and EC.
I think he was also into boxing at one point?suburban cowboy said:

Perhaps one explanation may be because it was his dad that was driving. Just read an article today that said his dad had flown out in a "pre-planned trip" to drive back home to PA with him.Smeghead4761 said:
